I don't think that the KORAF will let them bulid it though. Taipei101 June 30th, 2004, 01:27 PM Because of height restrictions? infatar July 22nd, 2004, 06:01 PM according to emporis.com, it said that IBC is under construction, but I did not notice anything.. According to emporis? They don't know anything about this. I highly doubt they know anything about korean projects better than I know? 그냥 높이보단 한국건축사에 길이남을 명작으로 서울의 새 랜드마크로 지어으면 좋겠습니다. dcb11 August 2nd, 2004, 07:11 AM emporis says it's approved, not under construction. The site specifically mentions that the Korean Air Force has decided not to enforce the height restriction. http://www.emporis.com/en/bu/nc/ne/?id=100899 Þróndeimr October 4th, 2004, 04:45 PM I am not sure what i will belive here, but on emporis.com you see some overview rederings of Seoul Digital Media City where you also see the International Business Centre. Korea has the most internet users per capita (0.69 per capita) in the world. On the other hand, Japan is actually quite behind. (If I'm right, Japan barely makes to the top five.) Iceland is the second, closely followed by other Scandinavian countries like Norway. Canada, U.S., and Australia are quickly catching up as well. I wouldn't be worrying about some F-16 crashing into the building, because this building is mean and armed with missiles. The Seoul Metropolitan Government was to select an applicant that will build the IBC, but rejected all three applicants, citing reasons that all of them don't meet the qualifications. A correspondent from the Seoul Metropolitan Government said the IBC site will be developed last in the DMC Project, so that there is plenty of developed residential zones around the site when the public bidding starts. ZZ-II October 15th, 2006, 01:21 PM so it's not shure that the tower will get build? or is the bidding because of the construction site? cydevil October 16th, 2006, 12:07 PM I don't represent the Seoul Metropolitan Government(SMG hereafter) so I can't give any assurances... but my guess is that since the SMG declined all the past public biddings because the bidders allocated too much space of the proposed project to residential purposes, the SMG would first develop the residential zones around the area first, before starting the public bidding of the IBC project. Regardless, the IBC site remains as it is, and the demand for it is very high. 그러나 이번 심사에서 탈락한 글로벌랜드마크 컨소시엄측이 평가 결과에 반발하고 담합 의혹을 제기하며 향후 소송도 불사하겠다는 입장이어서 사업 추진에 차질을 빚을 가능성도 배제할 수 없다. sungjinpark@yna.co.kr (끝) http://news.naver.com/main/read.nhn?mode=LSD&mid=sec&sid1=100&oid=001&aid=0002108118 The proposed design from the Seoul Landmark Consortium: http://imgnews.naver.com/image/edaily/2008/05/29/1212021969.151202_PS08052900032.JPG Ellatur June 1st, 2008, 12:16 AM looks like elongated torre agbar i really liked the old design... cydevil June 1st, 2008, 02:04 AM looks like elongated torre agbar i really liked the old design...
