Another >30 floors condo, but this time, it will stand out quite prominently. I saw it standing up high from the Guang Ming San temple just last week.

No...my grandma was cremated there

Luckily the building is not too close to the temple....the temple in itself is a major high-rise landmark! :D

I also can see it from my computer now, out the door, but blocked by 25-storey flat.
Can see the crane and a little bit of the tower...:D

I can see only very little of the tower, like 2 storeys, a small corner of it.Blocked squarely by two highrises.:(

Haha. Looks like i'll be posting daily updates then. We could make an animation of the thing sprouting up if we took picture everyday and put them together, actually...

redstone

I wonder when theyll start unwrapping it, could be a new landmark for Bishan!

redstone
December 15th, 2004, 03:56 PM
Actually the plot is suprisingly small!

To think a condo could be built on it!

RafflesCity
December 15th, 2004, 04:05 PM
I hope there will be more glass when its finished, to contrast with the neighbours

small meh? looks quite big for a 1 condo development

redstone
December 15th, 2004, 04:05 PM
It's so near to the HDB flats...

RafflesCity
December 15th, 2004, 04:07 PM
good mah..density and juxtaposition :D

redstone
December 15th, 2004, 04:08 PM
Gardens at Bishan is a very good contrast to Bishan Point and the HDB flats! :D

RafflesCity
December 15th, 2004, 04:11 PM
they look too chunky, like boulders..kinda scary

redstone
December 15th, 2004, 04:12 PM
Looks like something from Europe.

Bishan isn't suitable for them. Orchard area is.

RafflesCity
December 15th, 2004, 04:15 PM
yah i think the location has a lot to do with it

redstone
December 15th, 2004, 04:17 PM
Elaborate? :?

RafflesCity
December 15th, 2004, 04:24 PM
The Gardens at Bishan are really massive and its colors dont seem to look cheerful in Bishan, in fact quite oppressive

maybe if they were built near the Suntec area or East Coast the vastness of those areas will put them in place

redstone
December 15th, 2004, 04:26 PM
I still think the high-class Orchard area is more fitting for a condo of such design...

RafflesCity
December 15th, 2004, 04:28 PM
Quite true

Bishan needs more sleek glass buildings to complement the HDB blocks

redstone
December 15th, 2004, 04:29 PM
AMK needs them more, I think...

And the condo plus office towers proposed in AMK was cancelled! :bash:

December 15th, 2004, 05:16 PM
uh i think any building that tries to look like some english castle or something should die.

redstone
December 15th, 2004, 06:19 PM
Um, actually there is!

There's one condo at Yio Chu Kang Road called Castle Green, which looks like a Gothic castle!
Very beautiful! :okay:

http://www.tokioproperty.com.sg/fudousan/condominiums_files/Castle%20Green.jpg
And it's HUGE!
Many towers, not just one!

heirloom
December 15th, 2004, 08:38 PM
uh there are many. i would consider the gardens to be one of those trying-to-look-like-castle condominiums. and the four seasons style condominiums should die also.
