In the heart of of Africa Dubai's notable developer Rakeen has already begun its work. Stretching their hand out of the middle east where most of their work is done, Rakeen signed a multi-million dollar development deal with DR Congo. One of their work already underway is the Gare centrale twin towers or in English "Central station twin towers". I am not going to tell the whole story if you are interested here are the building project website and the official Rakeen website:

The height is not given :ohno: But here is a quote from the website describing the project

Centrale is characterised by two high-rise buildings (2B + G + M + 30 + R) that also includes shopping mall space (G + M + Fl. 1 to 5) with a total area of 24,079 square metres. Floor 6 is the technical floor and offices are situated between floors 7 to 30 with a total area of 5,039 square metres. The residential space is spread across floors 7 to 30 with the total area of 5,437 square metres. The common area is 33,432 square metres. The basement houses 360 parking spaces that serve both residents as well as guests at the hotel.

Update

Update 21.07.2011

While many projects seem to have stalled (Huawei, Kadima, CF Shopping mall, Rakeen Office des Routes), Rakeen Gare Centrale is progressing well. Although not much has been done in the towers construction (only one additional floor despite the installation of new pumps), four floors (2 underground) of the adjacent 10-story building have been constructed in the last six weeks and the construction of the façade wall of the shopping mall continues apace.
