megacity November 27th, 2010, 03:39 AM Looks like the aerial shot of the reclamation in this video was from last April. I compared the shot from this video and they one put out last April by Eko Atlantic and saw it was exact same footage. Hopefully a future video or image will give us an updated aerial image of size of reclamation.
GAR3TH December 29th, 2010, 01:18 PM iJIA8Rig4jg
Dont ask me how I got it lol
GAR3TH December 29th, 2010, 01:31 PM correction, they changed somethings, such as the Eko Mall. In the video that paddylo posted, Which few had a chance to see, the mall was white and had Glass circles on its facade, while in the new video it was brown and had more of a rectilinear form
Sokotocaliphate December 29th, 2010, 04:40 PM Good video as usual GAR3TH but I'm just wondering why don't Nigeria develop the neighbouring states of Lagos so people will stop flooding there, afterall geographically speaking Lagos is our smallest state.
It also makes me sad a bit because I believe Niger Delta would have had more potential with all it's blessed scenery.

no problem
oga_naija March 21st, 2011, 05:39 PM my question is. How are they getting on the island? is there a bridge already
megacity March 22nd, 2011, 04:09 AM my question is. How are they getting on the island? is there a bridge already
EAC is not necessarily an island. It's formed through the extension of the Lagos coastline, so it's connected to land that is already in existence. So bridges aren't necessary.

That's ok. As the city begins to take shape, they and other international media will have no choice but to show the world that a world class city which rivals others like New York City, Paris, and Tokyo exists in Africa.
in due time...in due time

It wasnt even fashola's idea to build the city..it was his predecessor tinubu that started it so the next governor's task is to continue the progress after fashola steps down!
Mintali September 5th, 2011, 05:07 PM If this project goes through, It would be Nigerias best project ever. Goodluck guys, lets hope the Goodluck guy sees you through it.

Nigeria's recent natural disasters could easily put a damper on investment in development projects. Joining ABN's Lerato Mbele to discuss investment and the threat of natural disasters in Lagos waterfront is developer David Frame, MD of South Energyx.
Madubaymi September 9th, 2011, 01:47 AM The disasters shouldn't be that much of a deterrent for this project and others like it.

SouthernGirl March 3rd, 2012, 12:25 PM The cons this ppl present on the Eko Atlantic development are fictional and not factual and the lack proper insight/truth to the magnitude of and reason for the project...they just proved to be educated illiterates...The experts has done the assessment on the project so y r they still talking...Don't they want development, like y r ppl so scared of trying smthing new if the old ways of doing things don't work...Lagos is overpopulated, the state need space, needs to build up, and most of all needs a world class CBD befitting to a city/state like Lagos...Besides it is reclaiming of the same land that use to be there some decades ago...What the people should be saying to themselves is why are ppl living on the beach so close to the sea without the proper sea front infrastructure in place but shanties (DUHh! The sea will wash it off) and why those shipwrecks have not been cleared? Not Lagos cannot build a city of skyscrapers because if a fire occurs it can cos chaos and how will we power such skyscrapers bla bla bla...Damn this people need to stop thinking inferior and not subjugate themselves to (inability)...that's y u put the right service in place like for fire, drainage, and electricity...Duhh...If NYS taught like this during their skyscraper era or infrasture boom it will still look like a damn village of mountain, hills, swamps e.tc (don't realy know the topography of then NY that well so yeah)...
