http://www.skyscrapercity.com/images/headers/12.jpg
Doesn't show any part of the skyscrapers in Jerusalem nor the main side of Jerusalem......only the aravi side......
Who agreed to this?!?!?!?? :?
dark_shadow1 June 12th, 2010, 12:31 PM Cityscape banners always suck- I don't know why they even bother putting them.
ethan153 June 12th, 2010, 08:14 PM they should do a better picture of Jerusalem (when you can see the city, and not this mosque), or a picture of Tel-Aviv's skyline.
i hated the things that people wrote about the banner (that Jerusalem belongs to the Arabs). it is so annoying!!!
M-120 June 12th, 2010, 10:00 PM What do you guys care?
You know what they are like, they loves problems.
Look at the world, most of problems cause of Islam.
I watched a video about a rabbi that WW3 will coming soon and I think he is right.
Just like before WW1 and 2, lots of rabbis said the world war will coming soon and the world said it wont happen, yet it happened.
And the world said WW3 wont happen, but it will happen.
BUT DONT WORRY, G-d will be on our side and we will be victorious! We will win and we will get MORE LANDS and more people converting to Judaism.
These who hates Israel and Jews will have a very hard time :).
Yoav June 12th, 2010, 11:02 PM what a stupid comment....
M-120 June 12th, 2010, 11:08 PM ^^ yeh cause your a leftist.
Herzeleid June 12th, 2010, 11:08 PM more people converting to Judaism.
why u want more people converting to judaism? insted u should pray for those jews who are away of their jewish side to turn back....
M-120 June 12th, 2010, 11:13 PM ^^ I always do. Ive never met a Jew whos away from their Jewish side tho, except off the net.
Island Sloth June 12th, 2010, 11:20 PM It's the ancient city tho, stunning. And yes, this is the 'main' side of Jerusalem, no sight is more 'main' that that in Jerusalem or the entire holy land. The old city and its classic recognizable landmark for centuries. Time stops here.
Yoav June 12th, 2010, 11:26 PM ^^ yeh cause your a leftist.
no. it's because i think for myself... not letting Harry Potter control my life.
a right wing person will tell you the same.
you make Israel look bad. you better let those who knows something about our history to do the job of explanation
Yoav June 12th, 2010, 11:28 PM oups... i meant the bible- not Harry Potter... it's such the same you know..... i always confuse with them both.
Gzdvtz June 12th, 2010, 11:32 PM Kappa, instead of bitchin and whinin (like always), create a Yerushalaim banner that makes you happy and submit it.
M-120 June 13th, 2010, 12:08 AM Yoav, remember what Martin Luther King quote.
"Anti-Zionism - Anti-Semistic"
You CANT be a leftist and Zionist. No way.
Look at Peace Now, and etc, they are making more problems for Israel.
And it making more people here in Australia more Pro-Israel and more Jews leaning to Rightists.
We are fed up with Leftists.
Leftists want to give up everything to please Arabs cause you Leftists think it will bring peace? NO WAY!
Only if Arabs put down their guns and there will be peace.
It is NOT about lands or anything.
It is about RELIGIONS!

And I just noticed something, Jerusalem is holy city yeh? Why they didnt even included The Wailing Wall?? It is more older than Dome of the rock.
Interesting.
These forumers must hate Jews so much lol.
Island Sloth June 13th, 2010, 12:20 AM why didnt they include the very old moroccan quarter of the world-protected site of the old city of Jerusalem?
Ah yes, it is razed to the ground...
Gzdvtz June 13th, 2010, 12:36 AM some ppl are just *SOOOO* pathetic and small-minded and petty, "why isn't that included?!" "why isn't this included?!" "waaah waaah waaah", somebody call the wahmbulance.
it's just a friggin banner, ffs, get the fuck over it

For you it is a banner and nothing less or more. You don't have a stake in this conflict. For you it is entertainment. That is all. However, for us it is not.

Well said. 'Jerusalem' to the world is pretty much the old city, its walls, the dome of the rock and the aqsa compound, and East Jerusalem. 'Twas the best representation of Jerusalem. A picture of some skyscrapers or hoods in West Jerusalem won't even be recognized by most people of the world as Jerusalem...

yes, but they showed only one building!
MIBO June 14th, 2010, 04:21 AM At least they did not write "Al-Quds".....
and it is the most recognizable place in Jerusalem - like it or not - and at the Temple Mountain it bears a stronger meaning for Judaism, Christianity and Islam while the Kotel only means something for Jews.
ethan153 June 14th, 2010, 09:52 PM they could have made a picture with the Temple Mountain and the old city, not only the mountain.
Kappa21 June 15th, 2010, 01:28 AM ITS THE PRINCIPAL PEOPLE
They simply ignored the Jewish area..........
Island Sloth June 15th, 2010, 02:02 AM but Jerusalem is indivisable. Its all in one - Muslim, Armenian, Christian, Jewish and Moroccan quarters and the city wall and mount! No quarter is independent, each is an integral part of Jerusalem. And the most recognizable part is actually the Dome of the Rock! Representing all of Jerusalem with all its quarters!
Urban Legend June 15th, 2010, 01:17 PM At least they did not write "Al-Quds".....
alangm13 June 15th, 2010, 04:39 PM horrible banner. But it is not the first time that they put horrible israel's banners. Yoav if u dont belive in g'd ok no problem. But be respectful. Dont compare the bible with harry potter. You must say it in a more respectful way.
Yoav June 15th, 2010, 06:25 PM i know, i know... the bible is a good book. great stories... i like the short story about how Moses uses his magic wand to split the sea. definitely better than the "aveda kadevra" of Harry Potter. oh and the ending! everyone knew that Voldemort will die at the end, but destroying your own temple... absolutely epic.
didn't like though the two extra editions to the main story... about the boy who walked on the water (splitting it was enough), and the nomad who couldn't hear the word "no".
hope that i didn't insult anyone, and that you don't kill me in the name of God like you used to do for the last 5,000 years.
alangm13 June 17th, 2010, 04:21 PM ohh yoav shame on you. You have to study a lot. u Look like an ignorant.
Kappa21 June 17th, 2010, 05:50 PM  lets lynch Yoav and teach him the goodnes of the talmud :D
Yoav June 18th, 2010, 12:34 AM ohh yoav shame on you. You have to study a lot. u Look like an ignorant.
oh really? interesting. what do i have to study? you have no idea how much i know about these three religions... i think you need to study a little bit.
the Hebrew book was just a set of rules so the Hebrews could set upon. they used a god to make it more authorized... there was no police you know, so god is the punisher. the name 'Elohim' אלוהים (god) is actually the 'god of the sea' אלו-הים. the Canaanites that lived in Palestine were the ones who were linked to this god because of the proximity to the sea (like Abraham for example). i didn't invented it. it's written in the Ugarit scrolls that were found in Syria and are referred to the Canaanites 7,000 years ago (a lot before the world was created by Judaism).
now why Yehudim (Jews)? because the Yehuda tribe. the one that controlled the capitol, the one that wrote the bible (there are even some scholars that say that it was written during David's royalty time). it is referred, i can't remember where, that each tribe had it's own god. Yehuda's god was called Yehaveh יהוה - you know it as Jehovah or yahoo. umm lets see... i'm in power, i control the capitol, the economics... everything. i can tell everyone that my god is the only one and they can't do anything about it (guess that it is like what happening with the orthodox Jews these days).
Judaism is even not the first monotheistic religion! (though itself wasn't so monotheistic...). one of Egypt pharaohs decided that Ra (the sun god) is the only god. and that was when in Canaan people still carved their tools in stone.
all of this without the lies that are written there. until this day, all Jews celebrate passover, to remember what god have done to us in Egypt. but there is not even one historical evidence that there were Hebrews in Egypt! not only that, any Egyptologist will tell you that in ancient Egypt there was no slave system. throughout all pharaohs! so the main porous was to remember, or to force us to remember?
so this is the basic story of the first of the three religions that refer to the same god, who was basically nobody. saying anything about Christianity and Islam will be unnecessary.
i believe in what i see, or things that can be proven. in facts. a god is less than a theory; it was proven for many philosophical and physical reasons, that he is real as Harry Potter.
