@ Indian Sun: I bought my tripod there for SGD 10 at a little roadside place in Chinatown - just a small one about 4 inches high that I kept placing on the floor or on benches.. :lol:

And interesting to know you were in Singapore last week too - holiday or study? :)

^^ Was there for a conference at Nanyang - I didn't visit ChinaTown or Little India. Found tripods too expensive at Marina Square (wrong choice I suppose).

Prakash: wrong choice :P i tried my luck for a cheap tripod in singapore but ended up buying it from phuket for just over 500 bucks. and its not a makeshift thing. it extends to a full 6 ft.

Wow that's impressive.. :) I ended up lazing through 4 years of college at Anna University in Chennai with a modest 7.5 CGPA.. No conferences in Singapore for me.. :P
