View Full Version : Can India win the bid for 2020 Summer Olympics? ...aditya... July 2nd, 2010, 05:33 AM Since its almost certain that India will bid for 2020 SOG, this thread has been created to analyse India's chances to win the bidding for 2020 Olympics. Marathaman July 2nd, 2010, 09:09 AM Why is this in the UK forum? Isaac Newell July 2nd, 2010, 12:11 PM Because you are always in it. Gherkin July 3rd, 2010, 11:45 AM I love multiple choice Yes/No polls  RobH July 3rd, 2010, 03:21 PM I love multiple choice Yes/No polls  I do and I don't....can't make my mind up. delores July 4th, 2010, 06:28 AM I hope not...Delhi will prove my point. Marathaman July 5th, 2010, 06:52 AM India is not bidding for 2020 Olympics. Luke80 July 6th, 2010, 01:07 AM When will this thread be moved? Ancuta_01 July 6th, 2010, 04:16 AM No India doesn't have a single chance at winning the 2020 Bid. The Commonwealth Games preparations have been absolutely atrocious. Money being misspent, abused, bureaucracy is ruining India's chances in this Commonwealth Games. India has got a lot of potential but seldom uses it consistently. One of my friends from India shares my critical opinion that India has no chance whatsoever unless it can prove itself otherwise because at the moment its not looking too good for India. I do hail India's strong cricket team though antriksh_sfo July 11th, 2010, 01:16 AM Delhi shall decide upon a bid after the CWG 2010. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2020_Summer_Olympics Meanwhile, A bid from New Delhi for the 2020 Olympics and Paralympics will not be discussed until after this year's Commonwealth Games, Suresh Kalmadi, the President of the Indian Olympic Association (IOA), said in January 2010. But Kalmadi believes that the infrastructure left behind by the Commonwealth Games will leave Delhi with a world-class city that could cope with the Olympics. OperateOnMe July 14th, 2010, 09:32 PM would be nice, but as above, should be moved to the Olympic or Skybar section chilliz July 15th, 2010, 02:30 AM Jesus, TBH im sick of these 3rd world countries that can't feed their own people spending billions of silly events and space agencies while we give them billions in aid. Madman July 15th, 2010, 11:48 AM I think Cape Town will be the front runner for 2020. The IOC are desperate to look inclusive and bringing the games to Africa a la the WC (RSA the only really viable option) gives them another opportunity to pat themselves on the back. Schmeek July 15th, 2010, 01:32 PM This thread needs moving. Please. chilliz July 15th, 2010, 03:38 PM Why doesn't this thread belong in the "Cultural and Sporting Venues" section when it IS about culture and sporting venues. Schmeek July 15th, 2010, 08:40 PM This is UK and Ireland section. Last time I checked, India was around 5000miles away on an altogether different continent. Have a look down through the threads in this section, and you'll find the vast majority if not all of the venues are in UK and Ireland. It just shouldn't be here. nihaoqqq2001 April 25th, 2011, 05:03 AM |
