tervitus Dysfunctional:)
ma ei tea mix peaks keegi tahtma veel kõrgeid kirikuid Tallinnasse ehitada..meil neid ju juba piisavalt ja needki tühjad kogu aeg:)

saikujuta ette kui paljud eestlased tegelt regulaarselt kirikus käivad....
a muidu küll, see asi on suht kahtlane. lasnamäele hakatakse kohevarsti uut (VENE) kirikut ehitama... a noh, kui mardi tänava kirik tuleb ikka eesti oma, siis las ehitavad :)

to others:

there will be a new church in the commieblock suburb of lasnamäe

lots of estonians are against it, i guess we can all realise why

mm, im sure Merirahu district will be nice and peaceful (the name is Seapeace :P)Tons of similar "villages" have been created in the Tallinn area.. a bit sad the sprawl is huge, and that will get so car orientated, downtown is already full of cars, at rush hour it isnt a city you would imagine in some Baltic country or even Northern european, no, it looks chaotic, the lines are terrible and uh... just..

Mmm :)
Sakala centre will go under renovation soon (hopefully) its a quite ugly bulking mass atm, and i dug up a little render of how it will (hopefully, they have changed plans quite alot of times now)In my opinion it will look great and give new "Umph" to the area, and will connect the 2 centres (vabaduse square and Viru square) together quite nicely :)

First of all I would like to say thank you for all the warm greetings!

Second I think that a church in Lasnamäe would look very strange, altough it's good to fill up the wastelands in between. But It would probably be best to fill it up with more commieblocks since it's already a commiblock district (and a damn good one too! :) )

And third I agree with Estboy that Tallinn already has it's share of kick-ass churches but a church in downdown district would be another matter, and a great tourist attraction. I'm thinking a steel-glass construction topping at anything from 110 m to 150 m.

What do you think?

nooooooo! :D no more commieblocks!!

yea, i agree, a (very) tall church in the downtown would be quite an addition/attraction. i'm thinking of something like the mission center on narva road, in uus-sadama. i believe vilen künnapu was the architect (author of radisson sas). i can't say i like the one there but the new church could be in the same style, only taller and nicer. steel + glass! yes! i hope someday it will be built.

ot: tallinlased ahoi! viru keskuses on suur osten tori makett, kui keegi soovib näha miuke ta tuleb. ta on seal 1. korrusel seal keskel kuskil...
ja endises laste maailma hoones disainigaleriis on väljapanek vabaduse väljaku tulevikust, minge vaadake! :)

The mission centre church is very nice, something like that in downtown (taller) would be great ;)
