What really impedes Novena's potential is the sheer number of disgusting buildings with horrendous colour schemes that pop out everywhere, in the most glaringly obvious fashions. That, and the lack of something truly tall (or dominating) enough to define the Novena skyline.

yes...with developers now wanting to build to the max of 30+ storeys, it is developing a plateau skyline. But, from some angles, you can still see the layers of variety that all gd skylines should possess.

uh no lor. some seng kang flats got nicer colour scheme than this. the yellow is too pale for the grey - in any case it doesnt make for a classy combination. furthermore at this price it should be FAR more than pleasant.

Sengkang against flats in Bukit Merah, Eunos, Jurong East, the older ones in Toa Payoh, Boon Lay, Lakeside... three quarters of the flats in Singapore are worth a garotted architect.

But of course if we count the supposed scale of this project the design should have been better.

Recently I found out that the building has been entirely re-painted to white color. I guess the developers realized that too.

Now that it's white, it has somewhat Grange Residence feel into it...
