I know they would make that block in the center as an open space! put on some large water features, such as fountains or cascades with matching giant modern sculpture or whatever as long as they would leave that block as an open park for walking, viewing and experiencing the surrounding skyscrapers, and not putting up a parking building, as what i previously heard, cause it would only become an eyesore an ugly stain to the whole of AITP design! Maayo unta they'd have a bit of a setback from the adjacent lot on the block.

^^ Well I do hope so, 8-14 stories of firewall is bad enough, but it can be easily covered (Like what asia premier will eventually do to i1), but a 22-story firewall?... Condo understood, but an office building... Let's hope for the best.

I saw the enclosed area a while ago. It's across or near eBlock 2 as shown in the map above by Jarenz.

It's good that they're now starting to build buildings over 20 floors.

They can utilize it for commercial purposes, say just like Bonifacio High Street or that commercial area in Eastwood.

Aside from the usual sidewalks, Asiatown should have some sort of a central recreation area where people can walk with their puppies or dogs or drink coffee perhaps.

TO provide more office spaces for the growing business process outsourcing (BPO)- information technology (IT) industry in Cebu, Skyrise Realty Development Corp. will start constructing Skyrise 4, its recent addition to its facility in Asiatown IT Park in Lahug, Cebu City.

The construction of another Skyrise building is in response to the expansion of some BPO-IT companies in Cebu, said architect Paul Morgia at the sidelines of the groundbreaking ceremony of Skyrise 4 yesterday.

Harry John Viloria, chief executive officer and president of Skyrise 4, said they hope to generate more jobs and opportunities with the construction of the building.

“God remained faithful and has blessed our tenants who asked us for additional space,” Viloria said of the newest project in his speech.

During the groundbreaking ceremony, the owners, in an expression of their gratitude, recognized their loyal clients.

Morgia said the fourth building is a 17-story BPO-IT facility, the highest Skyrise building so far.

Skyrise Realty Development Corp. owns the Skyrise 1 and 2. Its recent addition is the Skyrise 3, which was completed last year.

They have a total of 30,000 square meters (sqm) of leasable office and commercial spaces occupied by BPO-IT companies, such as Aegis, Qualfon, Affiliated Computer Services (ACS) and Microsoft Phils., among others, as well as food retailers. The three buildings are 100 percent.

“Skyrise started with one little step seven years ago and through the years, it has transformed itself to become one of the major BPO-IT facilities not only in Cebu but in Visayas. It became an alternative site for the growing BPO-IT industry,” Morgia said.

Skyrise 4 will have an energy-efficient and environment-adaptable insulation system for its exterior, with low-E reflective glass windows, to help tenants save on power costs due to improved efficiency of air-conditioning systems.
“There are fewer columns and wider spans on each floor to accommodate a more efficient layout patterned specifically for BPO operations. AC decks and vertical utility risers are strategically located to reduce long utility runs, resulting to cost savings for the tenants,” he said.

Skyrise 4 office spaces will start at the sixth floor while its second to fifth floors will be allotted for its parking area. Its ground floor will house the commercial spaces.

The project will be completed in the first semester next year.

The construction of this new facility, Morgia said, will employ about 300 to 400 construction employees.

But more than promoting opportunities, Viloria said the project is “a declaration of God’s goodness and faithfulness” in their lives.

4th Skyrise building to fill office space demand in Cebu
September 20, 2010


Filipino firm Skyrise Realty & Development Corp. (SRDC) is expanding its IT facilities at the Asia Town IT Park in Cebu.
With an investment of P105.17 million, SRDC is putting up Skyrise 4, so-called as it is its fourth building in the Ayala-owned ecozone. Skyrise 1 and 2 are fully occupied while Skyrise 3 is 85 percent occupied due to high demand for IT office space.
The Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) which recently approved SRDC's Skyrise 4 said the company first registered with PEZA as an economic zone IT facilities enterprise in December 2004 with Skyrise 1.
Skyrise buildings currently host 10 PEZA-registered IT enterprises which occupies 95 percent of the combined leasable area of the three buildings.
PEZA said demand for office spaces in the area continues to grow as occupants of Skyrise 1, 2 and 3 signified intention to locate inside the proposed Skyrise 4 for their IT expansion projects.
PEZA said site preparation and development are underway for Skyrise 4. Construction of the building was scheduled mid-September this year and is expected to be ready for occupancy on September 2011.
Skyrise 4 has a gross floor area of 15,546.67 square meters.

uu atbang pero mas naguna ang ebloc2 even twice as large as skyrise.. when i was there there are atleast 7 trucks[tong gadala ug cement] waiting for their turn to fill

Best Skyrise building by a long-shot! Hopefully the Qube tower will stand next to this one so the only weak-point in its aesthetics - the firewall - would be covered up.

I know they would make that block in the center as an open space! put on some large water features, such as fountains or cascades with matching giant modern sculpture or whatever as long as they would leave that block as an open park for walking, viewing and experiencing the surrounding skyscrapers, and not putting up a parking building, as what i previously heard, cause it would only become an eyesore an ugly stain to the whole of AITP design! Wooooooooooooooooooo! :cheers::cheers::cheers::banana:
