Which rail express do you like best to go to Kansai Airport: JR Haruka or Nankai Rapit?
Or take a bus instead?

The bus kicks ass.You go up on the Hanshin expressway and get a great view of the city when approaching it and going around it.Osaka is just mind blowingly huge from this perspective

Bus because you get to see more of the city

The highway bus from the airport to the city is very roomy and fast but not cheaper.JR is 1060 yen to the city while the bus charges you 1300 Yen.However it is a better service because, like you said, you get a much better view of the city elevated 10 stories above on the mightly Hanshin expressway network.
However regarding local buses
They are a nightmare. Its almost quicker to walk. The only poeple that use them in big cities like Osaka and TOkyo are the older population who cant walk the 500m to the nearest underground or aboveground station.
Worst of all.The seats on them are way toooooo small for a foreinger like myself.
Buses.Errrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
Ok if you are in a city of 1 million. But when the streets are narrow and clogged in a city of 15 million there is no other option but Train or a scooter

I remember taking the train one year. My sister had a Kansai pass which was only valid on non-JR trains... We had to leave at 5am to avoid the morning rush and once at Namba, we had to walk quite a while to reach the train. This was with a suitcase each, plus a backpack and numerous other things. Needless to say, I wouldn't want to imagine what it would be like having to travel through rush hour.
