from the vancouver sun... July is the driest hottest month of the year here - the grass is all brown, people flock to the beaches - they may ban smoking at all parks and beaches because of the dry conditions

With July one of the driest months on record, Metro Vancouver residents had plenty of chances to enjoy the sun at dozens of community festivals and events.

the sun has been pinky red the last few days due to all the forest fires here - its a pretty cool site - even the moon has been orange which is cool too
