Coming up on what used to be Crown Mills in Mumbai, Orchid Crown by DB Realty is another set of triplets that will make its mark on the growing upper westside skyline. The project has been designed by Hafeez Contractor and L&T has bagged the construction order to build these 75 storey towers. The project is expected to be completed by around mid 2013.

Why should Mumbai by copying Chinese cities???
Look around the world, no great city, such as London, New York, Tokyo, Hong Kong etc etc, are great because they look like some other cities. They all had their own identity. Saying Mumbai should be following Chinese cities is saying Mumbai is second to Chinese cities.
Yes India is behind China at the moment, but don't forget China is once the poorest nation in the world in 1980s and 1990s, if China can grow like that, so can India.

Totally agree with you .... India is not China and Indian cities won't model chinese cities ... in India every city has character even though you can say we will never be "organised" aka "controlled" but it will be great !!

and BTW India is already growing almost as fast as CHina from this year and most probably faste from 2013 ... :)

These won't be massive. These are very slim towers. But there are 3 of them making it seem like these towers are massive.

Nah, not on-hold, just going very slowly. I can definitely see a little progress. They built about 4 floors this past year.

These guys are keeping things pretty close to the chest! Looks like the tower's are rising albeit slowly. Its now called DB Crown.

Shot these earlier today. Unfortunately I couldn't find a suitable 'side' building to take some snaps from. The guard manning the main entrance said that on Sunday the workers work till 1pm only.

Ok, Tower A and B will be supertalls- 337 m (75 fl) each.

Tower C will be 45 m shorter by roof height only; so that's about 65 fl high and a roof height of 292 m.
The renders show a rectangular crown above the top floor that could well be 8m high or more. So Tower C could become a supertall as well! :)
