Well there seem to be allot of photo requests here for old Dubai and was thinking there must be away to collect and vote for them so people can come here and find how great DUBAI and the UAE and can lot. Was just wanting to hear people ideas on how we can submit and order photos we have taken. If every thinks thats a good idea and would help promote more images been taken posted and viewed ?

I dont really have to many my self and some the threads have great photos. Its jsut getting the best and finding them

Dubai_Boy has a lot of new photos of Dubai.

My uncle has a lot of these Ronald Codrai, Noor Ali Rashid..etc books with old photos of Dubai which I can easily scan but they're copyright. But there's no other way you can get decent photos without paying a lot of money (they even wrap these books in bookshops so no one can open them and have a look inside).

I have some Dubai photos from 1930's and later on in family albums, but they're of people only. There's a site, hawk UAE or something like that with a lot of old pics but he has a big hawk UAE logo on the photo for copyright purposes.

I think I might ignore the copyright and scan some pics and then write "copyright to whoever" under it.. :)

I noticed Emporis.com is trying to organize stuff about Dubai but they lack photos of many buildings, although I like the way they list them. I think for this site someone should make something similar to Emporis and put a photo of all existing buildings (exterior and interior if possible) with info about them. What we are covering right now is only upcoming projects.

Might be nice thanks for that
yer there has been a lot of work there done in last few weeks
the reason that we only seen to track new projects as that because we only have a project sub forum. As many people are intrested in the development
But there is still a place for photo essays and photo logs of the existing great building of dubai and the area and the city as a whole.

Thanks bulldozer girl, we have tryed to make it easier to navigate around the dubai section. Any good pictures of buildings that we are missing would be most welcome and the picture will be copyrighted to you . I have spend loads of time trying to get good pictures or better than we have , but its a long process. Any help would me much appreciated.

Well lebanese_007 i went to lebanon last month and i can so that the air there is really poluted so i guess comparing to lebanon it would be fine. dont let the picture misslead u Dubai doesnt have much greenery. As for cheap apartments i think that Karama is fine where i think it has Arabic expat population. although i dont really like the place. The gardens is a great place and its cheaper than the other places as i know.
