Jena - a small city of just about 100,000 inhabitants..highest tower is 140 m. :)

It is located in the state of Thuringia in East Germany.

It is unusual that a small german city has such a tall highrise in the city-center, especially when this city is not part of a metropol region.

cause making skyline need at least more than one.

To me, that lonely building doesn't suit this balanced and well-proportioned city with simmilar looking architectures.
Maybe, if another building is built, gathered and clustered near that breaker, it would be nicer

Well I voted more city wise, and for such a small city in the middle of nowhere the highrise is not bad.

However, thats not realy the point of "rate the skyline". This city should have been better presented in "Cityscapes and Skyline Photos".

I also rate the quality of a skyline not only the quantity.

And its clear that a city like Jena can not have such a skyline like New York.

For me a skyline is a line of buildings on sky/horizont...every building pricks into the sky comes into my vote. So I can not see only one tower...there are also those 2 whiter buildings and the little historical towers. My impression here is very clean and harmonious. In contrast for example to the NYC skyline..which feels a bit chaotic and seamy...gave NYC an 8 or 9 or so...don't know.

how many cities in poland of that size have a building like that? (none) not even warsaw has particularly many of them ....


I absolutely agree with you - there aren't any small cities in Poland with such skyscrapers.
