DJ Bungi July 20th, 2004, 12:40 AM I believe this picture was taken in February: http://www.vranica.com.ba/images/AVAZ-finis.jpg Klokan July 20th, 2004, 01:03 AM Very nice tower. SinCity July 20th, 2004, 03:05 AM Nice looking tower. Isn't there supposed to be 3 of them? DJ Bungi July 20th, 2004, 04:29 AM Nice looking tower. Isn't there supposed to be 3 of them? I thought they were going to build 3 but in this picture it seems like there is 4. Slovenija July 20th, 2004, 05:19 AM I thought they were going to build 3 but in this picture it seems like there is 4. I thinks its 3 in a row like the completed one above. I'm sure thats what they were building. MIMICA July 20th, 2004, 06:06 AM Edit SinCity July 20th, 2004, 06:16 AM Some earlier construction pics .... http://clubs.sarajevo-x.com/data/slike/slika_343_1894.jpg SinCity July 20th, 2004, 06:20 AM Another pics from Alberto's earlier thread .... http://clubs.sarajevo-x.com/data/slike/slika_343_1890.jpg DJ Bungi July 21st, 2004, 06:12 AM I thinks its 3 in a row like the completed one above. I also forgot to add; there is a rotating restaurant on top. sdes July 21st, 2004, 09:22 AM Looks very nice :) BosRoker July 24th, 2004, 02:35 AM I also forgot to add; there is a rotating restaurant on top. So is it finished then or not because I don't see it  What's with all these rotating restaurants in Sarajevo now though.. I'm going in a week or two so I'll get to see for myself. Kommandant Mark July 24th, 2004, 03:53 AM Hope you have a nice trip and take a digital camera with you:) DJ Bungi July 24th, 2004, 10:07 AM So is it finished then or not because I don't see it  What's with all these rotating restaurants in Sarajevo now though.. I'm going in a week or two so I'll get to see for myself. Well it seems like there is 4 towers and the restaurant is in the very middle, on top. Bošnjak July 26th, 2004, 01:58 AM Nice to see Sarajevo getting back to normal. hng July 26th, 2004, 11:23 AM Sorry but it doesn't seem very nice too me... Quite awful in fact... MIMICA August 2nd, 2004, 01:52 AM Hng, what are you talking about awfull. As a matter of fact I think it is quite interesting. What is there that you don't like about this building?...Well, I would just like to hear where your statement comes from! I'm a little dissapointed that there is really someone out there that does not like the AVAS Building! DJ Bungi August 2nd, 2004, 02:19 AM New picture: http://members.aol.com/bungalobih/avaz.jpg KOKOLOGIST August 2nd, 2004, 04:00 AM Sorry but it doesn't seem very nice too me... Quite awful in fact... Majevčan August 2nd, 2004, 05:10 AM New picture: http://members.aol.com/bungalobih/avaz.jpg The building itself is O.K @hng maybe you were critical on the surrounding, acceptable, but I think they'll gonna do something about it(lay out gardens etc.) pozdrav majevcan DJ Bungi August 2nd, 2004, 10:04 PM The building itself is O.K @hng maybe you were critical on the surrounding, acceptable, but I think they'll gonna do something about it(lay out gardens etc.) pozdrav majevcan Yes, they are not done yet. The building next to it on the left will be renovated as well. Nightsky August 3rd, 2004, 01:03 AM How tall? DJ Bungi August 4th, 2004, 05:59 AM How tall? Somewhere around 80-90 meters. hng August 13th, 2004, 10:13 AM Hng, what are you talking about awfull. As a matter of fact I think it is quite interesting. I'm a little dissapointed that there is really someone out there that does not like the AVAS Building! Sorry for responding so late, but i was offline for some time. It's awful because: 1. it's banal 2. it's squabby 3. it's in a cheap 'turkish' manner (just like Millenium Plaza http://www.sky.s64.pl/home/Wwa/rp07.jpg or Eurocentrum http://www.sky.s64.pl/home/Plany/ec01.jpg in Warsaw) Lloyd August 17th, 2004, 08:30 PM Sorry for responding so late, but i was offline for some time. It's awful because: 1. it's banal 2. it's squabby 3. it's in a cheap 'turkish' manner (just like Millenium Plaza or Eurocentrum in Warsaw) I think you don't have a taste. That part what was constructed on that tower in Sarajevo looks great. Singidunum August 17th, 2004, 08:32 PM Where is the second tower? hng August 17th, 2004, 10:30 PM Ok, if I have no taste, can you please explain me what is so great in this? http://members.aol.com/bungalobih/avaz.jpg Singidunum August 17th, 2004, 10:35 PM Ok, if I have no taste, can you please explain me what is so great in this?[/IMG] No point in discussung tastes. But I don`t like this toweR either. It is more than simple. Looks like some by the highway store. It is also not high to be called tower and there is only one so it shouldn`t be called towers! SinCity August 18th, 2004, 01:52 AM No point in discussung tastes. But I don`t like this toweR either. It is more than simple. Looks like some by the highway store. It is also not high to be called tower and there is only one so it shouldn`t be called towers! At 70m AVAZ could get away with being called a tower. Singidium you are merely jealous because Belgrade isn't really building anything. If any new buildings are being built in Belgrade then there are only a few levels high, therefore they are no more than 20 metres high! Pretty sad when you take Belgrade with 1.5 million people and then Sarajevo above with only about 400,000 then its clear Sarajevo is doing good with the above and especially the Balkans tallest twin towers ..... Bosmal (118m X2). Learn to live with it plz! Бане August 18th, 2004, 01:59 AM So if Singidunum is jealous what's your explanation on hng disliking the tower? SinCity August 18th, 2004, 02:02 AM So if Singidunum is jealous what's your explanation on hng disliking the tower? He dislikes it because of his own personal preference. Singidunum is obvious with his attitude. Бане August 18th, 2004, 02:04 AM So is it possible that a person of Serbian nationality dislikes it because of their personal preference as well, or is every single Serb who dislikes it jealous? hng August 18th, 2004, 02:09 AM How about making a poll on this tower's beauty or awfulness? That could solve our problems :] hng August 18th, 2004, 02:27 AM Done: http://www.skyscrapercity.com/showthread.php?t=127024 Lloyd August 18th, 2004, 07:01 PM Done: http://www.skyscrapercity.com/showthread.php?t=127024 How can you vote for something what is still under construction? Singidunum August 19th, 2004, 01:38 PM At 70m AVAZ could get away with being called a tower. Singidium you are merely jealous because Belgrade isn't really building anything. SinCity August 19th, 2004, 01:45 PM What? I never called any 20m building a TOWER! Bosmal towers are TOWERS! But this is one building!!!!! It is not tower in height nor in number. Bosmal Twins are skyscrapers ....... Avaz Tower is a tower ....... Most Belgrade building proposals in your thread are only a few levels, therefore they couldn't be more than 25m. None of them are even towers, let alone skyscrapers ..... PyRoMaNiAc August 19th, 2004, 04:37 PM If you'd listen to what people were saying, you'd understand that they are waiting for taller and more expensive buildings to be built until the underground water problems are solved (the project will soon be completed) because currently it brings the expenses unecessarily higher. Singidunum August 19th, 2004, 04:43 PM If you'd listen to what people were saying, you'd understand that they are waiting for taller and more expensive buildings to be built until the underground water problems are solved (the project will soon be completed) because currently it brings the expenses unecessarily higher. He read it and understood it perfectly. But the only way to stop this guys hate against Belgrade is to block him. PyRoMaNiAc August 19th, 2004, 05:01 PM The other thing is that he expects Beograd to immediately start building skyscrapers even though the country has just emerged from years of sanctions, war, and economic uncertainty and investors still need to warm up to the idea of doing business in Serbia. It will happen though. If I remember correctly Croatia was in the same situation until 2000 when the economy finally started functioning properly. So look at how many years it took them. Considering we've only had 4 years, I think it'll take us even less considering what I've seen in Serbia this summer. Singidunum August 19th, 2004, 05:05 PM I just wonder why did it take so much time for Slovenia to join EU. It could have joined in 1995? I mean they didn`t have Soviets for 50 years or war like other countries of ex-Yugoslavia! BIH January 22nd, 2005, 01:07 AM very modern MIMICA January 22nd, 2005, 01:28 AM very modern are you from bosnia and herzegovina? welcome to the forum! :) |
