Sri Lanka 66th in the world to offer a healthy and prosperous life

Aug 19, Colombo: A recent survey by the Newsweek magazine has placed Sri Lanka at the 66th position as the best country in the world to offer a healthy and prosperous life to its citizens.
Sri Lanka ranked high in education with a 90.8% literacy rate. The survey has ranked Finland as the best country in the world followed by Switzerland and Sweden in the second and third places. The world super power the US has been ranked 11 while UK has been ranked 3 notches down at 14th place.
The survey has slotted neighboring India at the 78th place. Germany leads the list of the countries with the best quality of life in the sub categories while Japan has earned the slot for the country with the best healthcare system.
The Newsweek survey states that Singapore is the country with the best economic dynamism.
