View Full Version : [Tehran] Pardisan Park Conference Centre | U/C
Shapoor August 31st, 2010, 04:45 PM Italian architect Massimo Roj of Progetto CMR has developed the pardisan park conference centre
in north teheran, iran. Currently under construction, the centre is part of a multi purpose complex,
primarily an educational, research and cultural center. The objective of the project was to create suitable
facilities for the study of the environment in all its different aspects.
The pardisan park, also called shahrak-e gharb's forest park, is an immense landscape park which
covers 175 ha. and was originally designed by the american ecologist Ian Mcharg (1920 - 2001);
famous for his humanitarian, utopian vision of designing communities by giving a central role to nature.
Mcharg thought of a huge park that could contain micro-ecologies representing the five major climate
zones in the world.
it contains the biodiversity museum, a wildlife park, and several other facilities for scientific case studies.

iman08 August 31st, 2010, 07:18 PM These projects are exactly the ones we need in the 21st-century and especially in Iran! It would be so good if built... .

Agreed! And let's hope it teaches Iranian architects (in Iran) a thing or two about design.
iman08 September 1st, 2010, 07:31 PM ^^Exactly, it's a high contrast to the usuall apartment-buildings without any green area...Plus, the architecture is really modern and good
SoroushPersepolisi September 1st, 2010, 07:58 PM BEAUTIFUL, if it actually gets built though ahahaha, i mean weve had 34194 of these proposed projects none have been built, their just dreams. if we built half the number of these massive projects in iran tehran wouldove had a nicer skyline than manhattan
anyway, hopefully it gets built, but we need proof of it being built, any photos?
drayaparsa October 17th, 2010, 06:20 PM has construction started yet?
omidhercule December 30th, 2010, 07:58 PM is this thing reeeeealy under cosntruction?
SoroushPersepolisi December 31st, 2010, 04:27 AM i dunkno, is it?
soheilz January 10th, 2011, 12:15 AM that thing looks massive and completely out of place in Tehran. I like the design but it would look out of place in any city in the world (except the artificial city of dubai, maybe). Plus it seems soooooo isolated from the rest of the city. what part of the city will it be built?
SoroushPersepolisi January 10th, 2011, 01:57 AM its in paridsan park, which is inside the city south of shahrake gharb lol
soheilz January 10th, 2011, 06:31 AM Thanks. I really just wanted to know its general geographic location in the city. so the text says paridsan park is in north Tehran. is it on the outskirts of north Tehran or is it kind of in the middle of everything like Central Park NYC? Basically what I'm asking is, will this tall building be part of the skyline, or will it be a random isolated mass away from the general skyline?
SoroushPersepolisi January 10th, 2011, 07:01 AM its close to the milad tower so it is alongside big buildings, hopefully if this gets built, we can have a cluster form in that area as theres lots of open space there
soheilz January 11th, 2011, 05:27 AM ^^Cool! thanks. I'm excited:banana:
soheilz January 30th, 2011, 04:36 AM updates? any construction photos?
SoroushPersepolisi January 30th, 2011, 05:27 PM i still dunkno if its truely u/c , im assuming not theres no evidence
has anyone passed the sight ??
omidhercule May 13th, 2011, 09:48 PM any news??
FreddyB May 14th, 2011, 10:27 AM i still dunkno if its truely u/c , im assuming not theres no evidence

I passed it Yday,i didn't go inside to take a close look but atleast I didn't see anything U/C from far
KalePache May 14th, 2011, 11:58 PM This looks like a nice project, but i wish they would consider locating these structures somewhere near eachother in a specific area north of the city. Dont want to ruin tehrans view from above

infact, this is close to the milad tower
freddie_is_persian May 15th, 2011, 02:03 PM HUGE and AMAZING project :)
KalePache May 15th, 2011, 04:30 PM infact, this is close to the milad tower
I know, but they need to place larger structures north so it doesnt cut the city off (imo)
FreddyB May 15th, 2011, 04:32 PM I know, but they need to place larger structures north so it doesnt cut the city off (imo)
;)
SoroushPersepolisi May 15th, 2011, 04:39 PM if they put it in the north it will ruin the mountain view and also destroy the most beautiful areas of tehran which are full of ol houses and treelined streets and gardens dating back 100 years
i think close to the milad tower is the best spot

True, but have you ever looked at tehran from north/north west and seen the whole city below you?, putting very large structures in the middle will cut the cities view imo.
Differences of opinion but they havnt even started building this thing yet :S
SoroushPersepolisi May 15th, 2011, 07:21 PM its not the middle though, the middle is around hafte teer, pardisan is in the west
but i know what u mean, but its the best place currently
anyway they aint building it lmao
FreddyB May 15th, 2011, 07:31 PM its kinda north too ^^(western mid-north)
ardeshir8 May 15th, 2011, 07:32 PM are they building this right now?
SoroushPersepolisi May 15th, 2011, 07:34 PM theres no news and as freddy said there is no sign of construction
this thing seems more like a dream, but i hope it comes true it will be even more influencial on tehran than the milad tower
