Yes i made 2 of those. The 1st one and the 4th one. I also have a model of it under construction but i can't remember who made it. I never made the older version of the freedom tower paper model yet. Why was one cancled?

Yep! I know lots of stuff going on in ground zero.

I wish something big would happen like the first wtc cladding or wtc 2 or 3 first floors would go up. The cladding should be installed soon. It was shipped out last week. Its really large and i think no truck is large enough to transport that (i could be wrong). I wonder how they would get that into ground zero?

No, i think it is by semi-truck.

Semi truck? Never thought of that. The cladding comes from oregon and that is across the country. It is about a 2 week drive but they could transport the cladding by train until it gets to NYC too. Maybe somewhere around the 20th of october it should be at the site. I hope it's before then

the building is called capital gate, it is very beautiful, i doubt anyone can make it seeing as the curves are near impossible. it is located in abu dhabi, south south west of Dubai. its like 2hrs down the coast approximately

Oh. I don't care when it opens. I just want it to top out, the cladding or curtain walls to be finished, and the spire added. lol. Thinking last year the freedom tower was about 3 stories tall. Now one year later it's over 40 stories. One year from now estimates show it will be around 70-90 stories(as long as there is no construction delays and it keeps the pace it has now) and will top out at the end of 2011! YAY!! Tower 4 is getting a good pace too

The freedom tower is taller than 1 world financial center and 4 world financial center!!!!!!!!!! When it's taller than 3 world financial center(that will be soon but not till next year) It will stick out like a sore thumb. lol

I am sure that its now taller than our tallest building here in phoenix which is chase tower its 485feet tall

oh yeah ive seen that. Out of all the 8 new wtc site buildings( 1wtc, 2wtc, 3wtc, 4wtc, 5wtc, 7wtc, performing arts center, and wtc transportation hub) only 1 is done(7wtc), two are under construction(1wtc and 4wtc), 4 are only in the foundation progress(2wtc, 3wtc, performing arts center, and wtc transportation hub), and one is not even started anything(5wtc)

by the way, cladding will start above the base, or on the first office floor. thats 200 feet up the tower. right now cladding is supposed to start on VERY early november, as in the second or third of november. don't take this date for granted though, its not exactly proven.

I wonder why more people are intrested on seeing cladding go up more than on the burj khalifa when it was getting ready to add cladding lol

Because the site of Burj Khalifa wasn't destroyed by radical Muslims

I dont think that has anything to do with the excitment of this tower. Maybe people just like this one better than ither skyscrapers being made out there lol

I will say though, it has more meaning than the Burj

I agree skyscraperlover9595. Also it took along time for OWTC to rise. As soon as cladding and glass goes up i think it will be all about height again.

I heard a rumor that the water and granite from the 9/11 pools was going to do something to the glass of 1WTC on every 9/11 anniversary. Does anyone know if this is true and if it is what it will do? If anyone does not know anything don't get excited. Its just a rumor. I only know one thing from it. It has something to do with reflection. Anyone know?

I read in a book that the four diamond tops on 2WTC were orientated so that they would some how reflect light or something onto the pools, but that seems a little far fetched...lol
