Dear fellow Forum Users.
As part of a larger research project on large-scale railway station (area) projects across Europe, I am currently investigating projects across Romania and wanted to ask you for your help. We are particularly interested in large-scale (or mega-")projects (i.e. of a total cost of 100 Million Euro or more) at or near major rail stations (with national or international connections) in cities of more than 100.000 inhabitants that were built in the past 20 years or are currently under construction and I'd be grateful if could possibly provide me with some hints. Thus far we have only identified a handful of projects - mainly commercial projects like Bucharest's CASA RADIO - and I could imagine that we are missing plenty of fascinating projects. Thanks for reading this!

let me make it short...in this stupid incompetent country around 90% of the railways is owned by a bankruped national company that is subventioned by the state for years. name:CFR(Caile Ferate Romane. en: Romanian Railways).
...another problem(and this is more related to your q.) is that this CFR gyant owns all the afferent infrastructure so...even if the city hall wants to med a railway station, it cant

wrong babe...im a damn optimist or i was till 1year ago..thats why i didnt became an 'emigrant slave' in the last 20 yrs and still live in this ...yuch...country. but not for long.
and what i said about CFR everyone that lives here know its the absolute truth. yes some railway stations were mended or new ones built like galati or drobeta tr severin but they arent huge projects and look very crappy. about railways beeing mended, i know only of one bucuresti-constanta but the work is damn slow, maybe will be finished in 10 yrs.
