got down to UTS area today

Even though some projects aren't scrapers, they're hefty developments that add a bit of pizzaz to an otherwise ailing area. It's continiung to create that type of city-edge warehouse/apartment feeling that some major world cities have'em

ULTIMOVIEW has topped out and is expected to be completed by late December/mid-January.
It consists of 48 apartments in all, from bedsitters to 2/3 bedroom apartments.

There is also Fusion Commercial right next to Fusion Apartments. It's basically a warehouse conversion and designed by Allen Jack & Cottier.

the massive 7storey sports centre cnr harris/thomas sts has started reconstruction as part of UTS. It actually scrapes in at 35m, so its progress can be added to ss.com. Its over 100m long. quite a nice powerful design. the model is only thing ive seen of new developemnt. anyone seen a render?
the 7storey new bldg opposite is now completed. i took pic yesterday.ill post tommorrow.looks good.

your photo has on the left UTS "Building 4" which, as you say, is presently under redevelopment (half demolished, having a floor added to it and being "widened" into the UTS courtyard). The building in focus though is the new TAFE building - TAFE have closed East Sydney college and moved the courses it offered, basically, into that new building.
