It is not possible to attach images to the forums straight from your PC or upload your images to our server. Images must be somewhere on the internet already before you can post them.
You can post images by using the image tags (more info about tags can be found in the forum FAQ (http://skyscrapercity.com/faq.php?)). In your post, place the full address of the image (including http://) in between the image tags. For example, this line...
http://skyscrapercity.com/title.gif
...would produce this in your post:
http://skyscrapercity.com/title.gif
More information about how to post imges can be found here (http://www.skyscrapercity.com/faq/faqs.htm).
Most Internet Service Providers (ISP) offer some web space to upload your images to. You can upload images by using and FTP (File Transfer Protocol) program like this one (http://download.com.com/WS_FTP%20LE/3000-2160-10252208.html?tag=lst-0-1). Contact your ISP for details about your internet space. More info on uploading images using FTP can be found here (http://www.ftpplanet.com/ftpresources/uploadgraphic.htm).
In the old days quite some websites offered free space to upload images to which could be used to link to on the forums. Unfortunately these days are over. But still every now and then some site pops up that offers (limited) possibilities to do so. You might want to check out: this page (http://www.free-webhosts.com/free-image-hosting.php) or just do a Google search on free image hosting (http://www.google.nl/search?sourceid=navclient&hl=nl&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&q=Free+Image+Hosting). Check out the latest posts in this thread (http://skyscrapercity.com/showthread.php?t=108967) to see what else is possible these days.
As an exception, in case you really want to post one or two images fast and have no where else to go, you can contact one of the mods and ask them to upload these for you. Again, these are exceptions.
