The focal point in the cultural centre is the concert hall, designed to accommodate 2000 seats to the highest level of comfort. The shape of the structure conjures up images of sea shells, waves and the mouth of a whale. Architects Haim Dotan drew much acclaim from the country's architectural and construction fraternity for their impressive and imaginative design and interesting combination of steel, glass, wood and aluminium. The project used a total of 600 tonnes of steel with the steel construction alone costing $1.35 m.

WOW! Looks really great. I don't really remember Ashdod being a city for/with such extraordinary buildings...BTW, my father's cousin is from Ashdod and he is visiting us this week...Not important...;)

This building is being build 5 minutes from my house, Ashdod is an impressive city with many highrises with futuristic designs, i have already taken several pictures and im gonna take more in the coming weeks and will post all the pics on the Israeli section ;) just wait and see... ;)

I cant believe, now I can see there's many sexy and awesome building projects other than high-rises in Israel!
