Opened on April 2004, first state-of-the-art, three-dimensional movie theatre in Israel and the Middle East. Designed in the shape of a pyramid, the 10-story IMAX has 300 leather seats.
Conveniently located in Eilat's Central Park, the new IMAX theatre is close to that city's airport, shopping malls and hotels. A second IMAX theatre is being planned to open in Tel Aviv in 2005.
The IMAX Corporation operates a chain of several hundred three-dimensional movie theatres on five continents and produces more than 40 new IMAX movies annually. More than 75 million people watch an IMAX movie each year.
