Now Brisbane will have taller buildings than Sydney!! Now we just need some iconic structures of an international scale like the opera house and harbour bridge.

Here is a list of top ten in a few years based on built/uc/approv/prop not counting notionals ranked to roof!

We got more 200m+ tallies than Melbourne or Sydney there! Pretty good considering we had none before. At this rate should have twice as many 200m+ tallies as Melbourne once 480 Queen and another 200m+ come on line, maybe Elite?

Pretty short name aye, shorter even than Q1, plus the number looks like a tower, and people would refer to it as 'the one tower', like the one ring... the one tower to rule them all...:P

Hey Soulvq - you've apparently killed off Emerald. Locke still believes it's there. Ages ago I was a lone voice saying Emerald would rise from the dead but now I've left it up to you, Cul and others to inform us. I also thought the Domaine site was reporting 'positive' misinformation long after the building had been killed. Of course what's news today can be changed tomorrow. Since obtaining a building approval is now commonly accepted as a mechanism for increasing land resale prices, sadly UC is becoming the true indicator for real development. Certainly claims of presales provide only a poor guide - not only for the infamous Ann St project, but also for Domaine!

The domaine, has been a problem tower IMO...It just have never been true to the whole development stages from what i can see...so i am glad they are re doing it to either a hotel or who knows what?

Emerald is proposed SoulvisionQ1, always has been, it just needs to the final tick of approval from the minister. No need to resubmit an application.

Dubai money? I can't think of better money to back a project with, no pre-sales! I wish all our projects were backed by Dubai! If ever there was a sure thing building once approved, it's Emerald! It will go up straight away. As for the few nimbys, bah, nothing new there, a non-issue. Emerald just needs to reassessed by the minister, I read the case, she has to reassess it under the code, it complies with the code, Emerald gets approved. Just a question of how long it takes.
