Hey guys..
I just had an idea to celebrate the independence day of Indonesia..
we should ask whether we could put a header image of Indonesia on the site..
I dont mind doing the asking.. but I dont know how to make the header image..
anyone here who's good at photoshopping or using image editing programs??can u please make a header image of Indonesia... ehehe
and we'll select the best one for the 17th of August..
I'll book the header image for that date..

he said that it's all cool.. we're booked for the 17th

Hmmmm IMO, Monas just represents Jakarta not the whole country. What about Burung Garuda?

garuda would be nice.. and probably mix it with the pic of islands in indo.. cause indo is the biggest archipelago in the world.. and mix it with pic of skyscrapers in jakarta.. and rice fields?

will sound be included too , so that the world can hear f.e. Indonesia Raya ?

I think we should also use the mythical version of Garuda bird instead of the version that we have seen. I saw the sculputure of the mythical version one in Bali and it looks gorgeuos. The one that will be built at GWK in Jimbaran (anyone from Bail at all, we should start a thread for the project at GWK - after all, it will be the tallest and the biggest statue in the world once compelted) is the ideal GARUDA. Have that over a strecth of islands with volcanoes and palm trees that made up the beautiful Indonesia. I think we will have best looking header. Too bad, I am no good at any of the design software at all....... On the sound front, I prefer the gamelan version of Tanah Airku Indonesia or Indonesia Tanah Air Beta :runaway:

3. There is Sang Saka Merah Putih , Our Flag

only one thing I think u should change.. the text.. isnt it supposed to be celebrating 59 years of Independence...

I like it too.... except it is too "Jakarta" and I would change the text into "Celebrating 59 Years As A Nation"....I think "Independence" is just too outdated as a word and we should be in a celebration mood not in a "pass the blame" mood. There is no point dwelling into the past...it is the future that we should embrace to build this great nation of ours into a nation respected by world over..... :)

LIke others say this one is the best except the font. And what did you mean by 'cheat a bit'?

Edit: it may lack of representative image from eastern/Kalimantan/Sulawesi. But again Indonesia is so huge that an image cannot represent everything.

yup, i cheat.. i can not find a wide enough picture for the left part (buildings), so I mirror the pic, flip it, and put it side by side. thats why the building on left and right is the same. lol.

and there's should be enough space for skyscraper city logo, i think.

well well well.... better not sanhen... I'm afraid this will invite (strong) criticism from other forumers...

I know you have spent a lot of time and energy for this and really appreciate it millions. Yet, why not, instead of mirroring and flipping the picture, find an image from other part of the country to replace the mirrored-part of it.
