Modern Apsara dance started since 40's or 50's was recreated by Queen Komsamak Nearyroth. it's just like you said she went to Angkor and looked at the bas-reliefs! Dancing is about enjoyment, stop looking back the past and get upset for something that can not be change, dance with all you heart, dance with all the fun, then it is the best dance.
