Hi, i built Cp1 out of arcrilic a while back but would like to build another one. What sort of plastic do you use (thick or thin) and is it possible to create an autocad diagram and get a company to cut it out for u.

ie actually just built a 1;1000 scale model of Aurora out of solid timber. looks good. ive added it to my display at council.
acrylic is good to use for models. we use that alot at work. we also can put data into a 25,000$ lazer cutter computer and it will cut the facade out for you . its very hard to use. im still learning.
it takes hours to draw the data on microstation then you have to set up machine to cut and hope it doesnt rip apart material.

I found 1:50 scale quite good, same amount of details but less fiddly at that scale.
