Mall of the Emirates will have a big one too, and so will the Dubai Festival City. DFC will have an amazing 600-room InterContinental Hotel and it will probably have others.

Another hotel at the JLT is the Manchester Star Tower. First 14 floors is a 5 star hotel consisting of 220 rooms. Rest of the 19 floors are apartments for residents. This is excellent value for money at the moment.

The part about Rio De Jumeirah is exciting. I thought they were only going to "develop" the beaches around the Jebel Ali area but with Rio De Jumeirah it seems there's another mega-project announcement around the corner.

the consulting house's website is currently under construction. The under construction page says: "A great portal in the making. Visit us soon". A portal doesnt just mean its gonna be some sort "online presence/image" website but its gonna be a community of sorts or at least something huge and informative concerning the hotel industry in Dubai. Hopefully we'll be able to get a lot of updated and detailed information about hotels from this website when it launches.

Forex hotel is just another name for the abbco rotana hotel, its got 3 names: rose rotana, forex rotana and abbco rotana

50 فندقاً قيد الإنشاء في دبي


دبي - “الخليج”:

أوضحت التقارير الواردة من إدارة المباني والإسكان في بلدية دبي ان هناك تزايدا مطردا في نشاط البناء في مناطق مختلفة من إمارة دبي، وذلك في الفترة الممتدة من أول أبريل/ نيسان وحتى آخر يونيو/ حزيران 2004. وقد اتضح ذلك جليا من خلال عدد المعاملات التي استقبلها قسم تراخيص وأنظمة البناء في البلدية والمعاملات المرخصة في القسم خلال الثلاثة أشهر الماضية.

وقال المهندس خالد محمد صالح رئيس قسم تراخيص وأنظمة البناء في البلدية ان إجمالي عدد المعاملات المستلمة خلال الربع الثاني للعام الحالي وتحديدا (من أول ابريل/ نيسان حتى آخر يونيو/ حزيران) بلغ 4887 معاملة، وكان إجمالي عدد المعاملات المعتمدة 3321 معاملة وعدد رخص البناء الصادرة 2672 رخصة.

وكانت هذه الأرقام أقل من ذلك في الربع الأول من العام الحالي، حيث بلغ عدد المعاملات المستلمة خلال هذه الفترة 4140 معاملة وعدد المعاملات المعتمدة 2723 معاملة وعدد رخص البناء الصادرة 2151 رخصة. ويتضح من ذلك أن نسبة المعاملات المستلمة ارتفع 18 في المائة، وارتفعت نسبة المعاملات المعتمدة 22 في المائة، أما بالنسبة لمعاملات وعدد رخص البناء الصادرة فارتفعت بنسبة 24 في المائة.

من جهة أخرى، بلغ عدد الفنادق التي يتم تشييدها في دبي في نهاية الربع الثاني من العام الحالي 50 فندقا بينما كان عددها في نهاية الربع الأول من العام الحالي 40 فندقا ويشكل ذلك زيادة بنسبة 25 في المائة.

وبهذا يتضح أن فترة الربع الثاني من عام ،2004 هي الأكثر انتعاشاً في مجال البناء والتشييد في إمارة دبي من الربع الأول للعام الحالي.
