good work. Did you make them out of card boards. Riparian looks bigger than Aurora.

Riparian has a higher roof then Aurora. Riparian=200m roof, Aurora= 198m.blades take it to 207m.
i make the models from solid timber. also add balcs or columns afterwards.
thanx

So riparian might actually look taller from most angles, cause those blades on Aurora dont count for much. Athough I think Aurora's RL is about 2 or 3 metres higher right?

Aurora has a 10m higher elevation.
ths Riparian roof is RL204m while Aurora is 217m to blades or 208m to roof, so it will appear 4m higher above sea level which is how you will see it in skyline.
cheers

You could pinch an even better model from the BCC model room if you were so inclined.

So yes, it is possible to get one and i've told you where.

youre a bit of a legend culwulla, well done.
I love the overall look of Aurora but I do have an issue with the height of it being classed as 207m on this forum thanks to those puny little blades which rise from the 198m roof. I thought the blades ran the full depth of the tower, but they're really little antennas which would mean that every other Aussie tower with antennas and spires should be counted into official stats eg Q1 should be classed as 322m and the tallest resi in the world !

Ok cheers for that Cul
So on the same topic, how much higher in elevation is cp1? I Think I remember you saying it once but ive forgotten. Hopefully its RL isn't to much higher otherwise Riaprian wont look much taller on the sky line.

The 'diamond cut' into the sides on Central Plaza One start on Level 22. I know this as I use to work on the floor, and a colleague had the kick arse corner office with the mini windows where the building design changes. The floor is now leased out by a legal firm.

CP1 has an RL of 180m, so its only 6m above sea level. Brisbane CBD land in general is a lot lower than many people think, thus the horindous floods in the past.
heres a quick look at high "RLS" in Brisbane
over 150m/500ft above Brisbane River

Emerald-248m Proposed
Aurora-217m UC
Riparian-204m (antenna-253m) UC
475 adelaide st-185m proposed
CP1-180m
Skyline Apartments-175m proposed
Waterfront Place-165m
Brisbane Square-165m
111 George st-160m
Panorama Sky-158m proposed

Cheers Cul, Its good to know the elevations heights to know how things will appear on the skyline.
