Automated high-tech car parking solution:
The first multi-level automated valet parking system in Malaysia
Times Avenue, an integrated office and retail space development, is set to be the first commercial building in Malaysia with a fully automated valet car parking system.
Strategically located within Kuala Lumpur’s Golden Triangle, this prestigious project comprises three components: retail, executive office suites and premier sky lounge floor.
During the pre-launch event of Times Avenue on October 26, Takashimaya Group Chairman Datuk Dr Lennon Tan, announced that Takashimaya will be collaborating with Hyundai Information Technology Co. Ltd, Korea to deliver an automated high-tech car parking solution which boasts convenience, safety and security. He added that similar innovative parking systems have already been deployed by global auto manufacturers for high volume car production storage, and are also widely used in Europe.
Times Avenue’s fully automatic, computer controlled system will offer tenants and visitors a safe, convenient and efficient way of parking their vehicles. Just drive in, lock up and the automated car park system will take over. Upon leaving, a scanned parking card tells the approximate time of delivery. It only takes 2.5 minutes to retrieve a vehicle.
Costing an estimated RM10 million, this state-of-the-art multi-level parking system can accommodate a total of 140 cars stacked vertically alongside the 15-storey building structure as well as horizontally on three basement levels. There are two systems being built into the building: vertical multi-level and transfer device rotator.
“We want to redefine the benchmark for commercial office development in Malaysia and hope that more property developments will follow in Times Avenue’s footsteps to alleviate car park shortage and help beautify KL city by eliminating unsightly street level car parks,’ said Tan.
Scheduled for completion in 2013, the 15-storey Times Avenue offers executive office suites and ground floor retail lots ranging from 300sq ft to 2,297sq ft. The architectural design of Times Avenue is based on a future tech architectural statement that is sleek, contemporary, and modern in character. Located next to Berjaya Times Square, the project is estimated to have a gross development value of RM130 million.
Each office suite is built with a generous 3.9m ceiling height with a lobby lanai, dedicated lift access, 24-hour surveillance and security, as well as ensuite lavatory facilities. At level 12, The Observatory @ Level 12 Sky Lounge boasts a spacious area of 7,500sq ft offers stunning and breathtaking views of the city's impressive skyline.
“Times Avenue is about embracing change in the way we work and play. Recreate, Recharge and Revitalize; these are the buzzwords of the new productive and creative work environment,” said Tan. Moving forward, Takashimaya Group has also envisioned grandeur plans to transform Times Avenue into a vibrant and exclusive lifestyle entertainment hub which mirrors Hong Kong's famous 'Lan Kwai Fong.'
Cleverly combining business and leisure in a single space, each level of office suites will have its own individual spa-like setting by the lift lobby - complete with a water feature and lush green surroundings.
Times Avenue is exclusively marketed by Kiara Realty. For sales enquiries, contact 03-2093 7777.
