Thanks for looking at my photos of Calgary. It is a city that not many people know all that well, or have seen much of outside Western Canada besides some skyline shots.

I posted these on SSP a few days ago, so for those of you who saw them on here they will be a bit redundant. But I know there are many who post on this site, and not SSP so that is why I am showing them here.

I cover a lot of downtown and inner-city. Skylines, and and lot of streetscapes of Calgary's innercity communities, that are the heart of this city of one million.

#1 covers the downtown (particularly Stephen Ave), Inglewood, Mission, Mount Royal and Elbow Park communities etc.

#2 covers more downtown, Beltline, Kensington, and some skyline and building shots.

wow... calgary's definitely got some really nice architecture and green wooded parks right downtown - gotta love that. looks very clean and modern and well landscaped and even has a few historic architectural gems scattered about (like the Palliser Hotel)... never been yet, but I've had an open invitation from one of my good friends from university for a few yrs now - gonna have to finally accept that invitation, hopefully sooner rather than later...

the streetlife looks pretty good, but I assume those are weekday pics? (or maybe weekend pics for what appears to be a festival in that park in a few of the first photos)... how are those commercial streets and pedestrian zones in the evenings (i.e. after working hours and happy hour are done)?

Calgary is a beautiful small city, friendly people, clean, organized. I was there for a few days but I did notice that it quiets down considerably in the evenings. I guess all those hard-working westerners get to bed early....
