Up on the Shimokita Penninsula in the Aomori Prefecture. Yagen Campgrounds to be exact. I took some pics from atop one of the mountains, and the next morning my friend and I went on a drive through Mutsu, and then up on north all the way to Cape Oma, the northernmost point of Honshu. It was my first time to either place, and I was amazed by the scenery. Hope you guys enjoy the pics as much as I do. :)

Great stuff. I'm amazed how tranquil looking Japan can be. I like the 2nd photo where you can just see that tiny building (hotel?) lost among the wilderness.

It became a little chilly when night rolled around, but not nearly as bad as I thought it was going to be. Luckily I brought a pair of pants and a light hoodie. You can actually feel the temperature change between Misawa and Yagen though.

Actually, my friend and I decided that the next time we head up there, we keep going along the coast and check out Sai. I heard the cliffs there are pretty big, and go out into the water for miles. I would love to see that. :D

Hey guys, glad you all enjoy the pics!

I actually plan on going to Morioka this weekend. The original plan was for Sendai, but it's quite a drive for one night. Only problem is this damn Typhoon heading our way! Tommorrow (friday) morning is apparently going to be the worst, but if it clears up by saturday, I may just hit the road. While my friends plan on doing the camping thing again, I may just head down there with them and take some pictures of a night out on the town. Who knows. Thanks for the comments again, and see ya later. :)
