Syd-Hk August 13th, 2004, 04:49 PM As far as i know, there arnt any mods that do this. But there are mods that increase capacity of your networks to "realistic" capacities. Hope that helps. redstone August 13th, 2004, 04:52 PM I tried to do it, but still I have heavy traffic, as a result air pollution and abandonment in the denser areas.:( wolkenkrabber August 13th, 2004, 06:43 PM build a good sybway or rail / bus system that isa great to lower the traffic Furiine August 14th, 2004, 08:59 AM No idea if you need to register (it's free) to d/load mods or not, but it's worth it if you're having problems. The transit fixer. Following the read me is very important for it to work. (by DarkMatter) http://www.simtropolis.com/modfiles/content.cfm?section=The%20Essentials&detail=265 Download ONLY if you have Rush Hour expansion. Not compatible with old version. (by the7trumpets) http://www.simtropolis.com/modfiles/content.cfm?section=The%20Essentials&detail=312 This mod can prevent abandonment, but I don't know how effective it is in traffic situations. Fabio August 14th, 2004, 06:44 PM a tip you can use, and will help a lot is not to make long streets and roads, instead you should try to make them end on avenues and after on highways. :okay: Furiine August 18th, 2004, 09:36 AM Oh yes, I forgot :P save the zip files to C:\\Program Files\Maxis\Sim City 4 or search for Sim City 4 via Start --> Search When WinZip unzips the file, you can access all the .dat files inside the folder. Like I said, read the read me, which will prompt you to decide which options you want (capacity changes, speed changes, etc.) Once you carefully choose the ones you want, put only the ones you want (remember that you can't use all of them per zip file) in the Plugins folder inside the Sim City 4 folder. You can, e.g. use an abandonment option in addition to a transit fix to double up the effects. |
