I drove past a new project sign board behind the Le reve tower and its for a new massive tower.
4B+G+M+Health Club+3 Service+58 resdiential floors, so its gonna be the biggest in the marina by the looks of things.
So that is 4 basement +Ground and 63 stories
Can someone take some pics of the sign board
city of the future August 14th, 2004, 08:42 AM I'll try and run out there with my bike so i can take a few pics, (i thought there already was a tower behing le Reve)
SA BOY August 14th, 2004, 08:54 AM Its behind from beach road ie turn Left after Le Reve as if you are going to Marina 1 towers and its on the left hand side. If you are these could you get a pic of the 2 smallerst towers in the marina 1 development ( the only finnished complex there).
Many Thanks
SAB
Trances August 14th, 2004, 09:08 AM sounds great by the look of it cant wait
SA BOY August 14th, 2004, 10:10 AM Its a nice looking tower, very regal in design, should be a beaut
Dubai-Lover August 14th, 2004, 10:16 AM more than 60 floors. so it will be about 250 or even more! please post pic asap! :)
city of the future August 14th, 2004, 04:10 PM took a few pics of the boarding. this tower is MASSIVE! its got height and density which is something Dubai needs
http://www.imagestation.com/album/?id=4285915657
city of the future August 14th, 2004, 04:14 PM id say that this one ranges from 270-300 meters in height its got a spire plus over 60 floors
Dubai-Lover August 15th, 2004, 12:08 AM thanks for the pics! looks really great. not too thin just like other buildings!!!
looks quite tall, hopefully 300!!!
SA BOY August 15th, 2004, 06:30 AM city of the future, can I use your pics on ss.com. If so please PM me with your full name so that I can copyright you with the pics
SA BOY August 15th, 2004, 06:32 AM we need some closer pics of the render only so that it can be added to ss.com. Next time someone goes past there it would be much appreciated.
ta
Bahraini Spirit August 15th, 2004, 08:06 AM that looks like a huge tower, btw SA BOY, are you responsible for updating the gulf area's skyscrapers in ss.com?
Trances August 15th, 2004, 08:29 AM i made a quick edit to the top hope no one minds so this can become an offical thread !
Will the tower be that tall ? its only 60F. I could not be much taller than Al Masra tower. If so it will be one of the tallest res towers in the world !
SA BOY August 15th, 2004, 10:21 AM Its gonna be big, Ill try to contact the architects to see if they have a height. I am also trying to contact the architects for Al marsa and Al Rostamani towers too.
SA BOY August 15th, 2004, 10:30 AM Trances, I get 66 stories plus G plus 4 Basement??
Trances August 15th, 2004, 11:18 AM Do you count service floors ?
I always count usable floors such as Lobby as one Mezzine as one then each Res floor and the Health Club. Not sure about hte above ground parking with in the main body of the tower hmm
58 Res
4 Parking
1 Lobby
1 Health Club
64 then I guess ? IF you aggree I will change the name
SA BOY August 15th, 2004, 11:52 AM on ss.com ground floor does not count as a floor but mezzanine and service floor count in the building not at the top.
Trances August 15th, 2004, 11:58 AM so its 66 + G then
Well if we going go down that route means many of my other floors counts are wrong as for example many poster dont show the serive floors so we cant count them !
SA BOY August 15th, 2004, 03:05 PM I know, for example in Park Place there are 2 service floors in the tower body which have been counted cos the lift will pass them and count them as floor however the 4 at the top of the tower have no lift access and are only accessable by maintenance stairs. The definasion is a service floor in the body of the building is counted as afloor but at the crown it not. Im sure that many of Dubais buildings have more floors than noted due to this fact.
Trances August 15th, 2004, 03:14 PM cool then 66 + g it is
looking forward to knowing its height !
Chad August 15th, 2004, 06:31 PM Another tall?!!?..No way!!
Trances August 16th, 2004, 09:33 AM yer I know seem like it may be a new centerpoint with the height.
Quite glad there will be mix in this area of towers between 8 and almost 70 Floors ! Then with JBR in front and JLT behind will be great view fromthe top
Shame no public decks any where will be a far more impressive city that around the Burj Dubai

From left: Walter Hart, Project Consultant, Better Homes, with Ayman Jalal El-Deen, Deputy General Manager, Tiger Group and Steven Corbelli, Sales Manager, Tiger Real Estate at a press briefing to launch the Marina Pinnacle, the tallest tower at the Dubai Marina.
Marina Pinnacle offers spectacular views of the sea and surrounding environment and is close to Dubai's Media City, Knowledge Village and the American University.
Marina Pinnacle, which is scheduled for completion in 36 months, offers 61 residential floors and four floors of free parking facilities. The apartments are furnished with premier European amenities and equipped with fridge, cooker and dishwasher. The property also has 24 hour security and maintenance, CCTV, high speed internet access cabling and 10 high speed elevators. Extensive leisure facilities include indoor and outdoor swimming pools, indoor and outdoor children's pools, fully equipped exercise studio with fitness and weight machines, jacuzzi, sauna and steam rooms. Boutiques and restaurants will be located in the ground floor lobby.
'Tiger Contracting, part of the Tiger Group, has been actively involved in the construction sector for the past decade and the Marina Pinnacle is our most exclusive project to date,' said Ayman J. El-Deen, Deputy General Manager, Tiger Group.
Tiger is one of the largest development construction companies in the UAE and was established in 1976 by H.H. Sheikh Rashid Al–Qasimi and Mr. Waleed M. Mohamed.
'We are very pleased to be associated with the sale of another icon building in the Dubai Marina development. We anticipate high demand for this property which offers a variety of accommodation, at affordable prices – and easy payment terms,' said Walter Hart, Project Consultant, Better Homes, the exclusive marketing and sales agent for Marina Pinnacle.

ahmedr January 16th, 2005, 12:36 PM Googled "marina pinnacle" and guess what I found.....Unknown 66-storey tower!
http://www.newskys.co.uk/properties_in_united_arab_emirates/dubai/66903/property-details.html
http://www.newskys.co.uk/property_images/66903_1.jpg
Dubai-Lover January 16th, 2005, 12:38 PM one question:
somehow i have the impression it's our 66 floor unnamed residential tower
what scares me is the name "tiger contracting" whcih also works on the 66 floor unnamed tower!
it maybe is the same and finally has got his name
http://www.skyscrapercity.com/photopost/data/500/11020Marina_Pinnacle.jpg
Dubai_Boy January 16th, 2005, 12:46 PM This tower is 260 meters as mentoned in todays gulf news article , and they did mention also that this tiger company has plans to build 10 more towers over a period of ten years
Dubai-Lover January 16th, 2005, 12:52 PM Marina Pinnacle residential apartments sale underway
Dubai: Sales of residential units in the tallest tower in the Dubai Marina development, the 260-metre Marina Pinnacle, have started.
The promoters, Tiger Real Estate, have established a price of Dh750 per square foot.
The tower will have 61 residential floors and four floors for parking.
"This is the first project in Dubai Marina being built and marketed by Tiger," said Steven Corbelli, Tiger Real Estate's sales manager.
"We have looked at the rates offered by other developers within Dubai Marina, and believe our rate is quite competitive.
"It is our plan to have about 10 residential freehold developments over the next three years," he said.
In response to a question about whether the company will look at developing commercial space, of which there is a marked shortfall in the local market, he said: "We would certainly consider it."
Work on the Marina Pinnacle has started, with completion set for late 2007.
The company is part of the Sharjah-headquartered Tiger Group, which also owns Tiger Contracting one of the bigger players within its industry.
The group was set up in 1976 by Shaikh Rashid Al Qasimi and Waleed Mohammad.
Meanwhile, Better Homes has been appointed the exclusive marketing and sales agent for the Marina Pinnacle.
"We are pleased to be associated with the sale of another icon building in the Dubai Marina development," said Walter Hart, project consultant at Better Homes.
Dubai-Lover January 16th, 2005, 12:53 PM that's proof enough marina pinnacle is the unnamed 66 floor!!!!
it's the first project by tiger!! will rename thread and merge these two!
SA BOY January 16th, 2005, 01:04 PM nice guys another unnamed bites the dust
ahmedr January 16th, 2005, 01:07 PM Judging by the model in the background of the picture on ameinfo, that the tower has been redesigned, tho.
AltinD January 16th, 2005, 01:35 PM Tall but nothing special as far as design is concearn.
SA BOY January 16th, 2005, 01:36 PM I have 67 floors which is 4B dont count +G+4 parking+HC+58 res levels and 3 service floors.
Dubai-Lover January 16th, 2005, 01:42 PM you're right
i guess they just counted the 58 res floors and 3 service floors
DUBAI January 16th, 2005, 01:46 PM couldnt they think of their own name!
Bahraini Spirit January 16th, 2005, 03:13 PM Just a small note, names of dubai's towers are very repetitive, they really need to think more innovatively.
AltinD January 16th, 2005, 03:22 PM ^ Is not necessary that Pinnacle will indeed be the name of the tower. Until tower is compleated nothing is for sure:
Al Mankhool Towers = Manazel
Al Salam Tower = Chelsea Tower
AltinD January 16th, 2005, 03:32 PM BTW why on the render they say "... over 70 floors of ... apartments"???
http://www.newskys.co.uk/property_images/66903_1.jpg
Chad January 16th, 2005, 05:27 PM I counted, it's 67 floors lah?? :?
AlMillion January 17th, 2005, 01:38 AM Just arrived in Dubai - in today's newspaper it said that this was 260m tall
1,2 and 3 bed apartments ... all selling at 750dhs per square foot.
The advert did say 'over 70 floors of residential apartments' however the article on the following page contradicted it.
The article also said this is the tallest tower confirmed in the Marina so far?!?
Trances January 17th, 2005, 08:21 AM well it says the tallest in the area how can that be correct ?
Dubai-Lover January 17th, 2005, 08:24 AM just marketing and ignorance
BinDubai January 17th, 2005, 02:09 PM Just a small note, names of dubai's towers are very repetitive, they really need to think more innovatively.
i agree with you they need to give them selves abreak to think about creative names
BinDubai January 17th, 2005, 02:10 PM btw ameinfo says it was announced that it will cost around 800m
DUBAI January 17th, 2005, 02:46 PM how about " that tall one over yonder" as a new name?
ahmedr January 17th, 2005, 03:31 PM Yeah, also on Aqariya tv they said it'll cost AED 800m (USD 218m).
AlMillion January 18th, 2005, 10:16 AM Developers in the area say this is going to be 58 floors ... i guess that doesn't include the base
AltinD January 18th, 2005, 12:01 PM I also counted 58 floors on the big render (1 full page) on yesterday's Gulf News
SA BOY January 25th, 2005, 10:23 AM latest construction week has it at 71 stories and 280m. maybe a height increase but no updated renders yet?
AlMillion January 25th, 2005, 11:53 AM If the Al Ameera is anything to go by, they announce the height before they've even tested the ground ...
Dubai-Lover January 25th, 2005, 03:00 PM 280? wow
lately there has been many news confusing us
soennecken February 5th, 2005, 07:50 PM Does anybody know if a tower is to be built immediately behind Marina Pinnacle. I know it has a tower either side (La Reve being one) but what is planned behind it?
Dubai-Lover February 5th, 2005, 10:34 PM there will be towers
the only one we know is mag 218 with 55 floors, opposite marina heights
all of them are under construction, but fenced in completely and no signboards for at least 4 towers
there will also be the shopping mall between mag 218 and marina pinnacle
check the marina map by dazz in sticky thread
R@ptor February 6th, 2005, 06:08 PM latest construction week has it at 71 stories and 280m. maybe a height increase but no updated renders yet?
Maybe it's 260m to the roof and 280m to the top of the spire.
AltinD February 6th, 2005, 11:31 PM Site overview: Nothing hapening exept digging up a meter or so.
http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid157/p9739d036edfe5cbd09f525c9425a4fc7/f537a74d.jpg
dubaiflo February 7th, 2005, 12:08 AM that picture shows the distance between the towers perfectly with Marina Heights and Al Seef in background...
will look much more closer on the road side in front of the Marina...
AlMillion February 7th, 2005, 12:24 AM That isn't the Marina Heights in the background of the picture ... you'd have to turn over 90 degrees right to see the Marina Heights.
dubaiflo February 7th, 2005, 12:31 AM Sure?
which one is that ... ?
Dubai-Lover February 7th, 2005, 12:33 AM shatha tower in media city
dubaiflo February 7th, 2005, 12:41 AM ah ok i see...
the angle was little bit confusing...could have been the Marina Heights actually...
but now i see that its too tall already...
Dubai-Lover February 10th, 2005, 06:11 PM DUBAI — Dubai Municipality has recently issued the licence to construct a 66-storey building in Dubai Marina at a cost of Dh240 million.
Khalid Mohammed Saleh, Head of the Building Licences Section at the Building and Housing Department of the municipality, said the proposed tower would house residential apartments and commercial shops.
The building will have four basements, ground floor and 66 upper storeys. The total built-up area will be more than 1.3 million square feet while the plot area is over 36,000 square feet. The tower would have 850 one-bedroom apartments and 232 two-bedroom apartments.

AlMillion February 26th, 2005, 05:39 PM Nice one Dazz!
its really interesting how the towers are shifted over to one side of the base - this must be to allow light, views, etc. for people in the surrounding area.
Anas Anani February 26th, 2005, 05:55 PM very nice lol thought the base i believe is a garage if u look carefully u see a red car coming out so it should supposedly be a garage.
dubaiflo February 26th, 2005, 06:10 PM nice...but the color looks completely different from the render.perhaps it is the light in the hall...

mc April 1st, 2005, 09:23 PM Does anyone know, if theres anything that will block the views of apartments btw 20-25th floor.....with marina view/partial sea, n the MARINA PINNACLE tower.
ty
dubaiflo April 1st, 2005, 09:43 PM http://www.tp.spt.fi/~jukarkil/uae/marina/orig_sorted.gif
just look at the map by dazz.
between the marina and marina pinnacle there is a free plot which might be occupied one time.
but we're not sure if it will be a tower, as there was some piling work according to sa-boy but now there is no construction etv visible on that certain plot.
SA BOY April 2nd, 2005, 11:38 AM we seem to be missing 4 towers that surround that cross shaped grassed area. We have al seef /marina pinnacle/mag and 23 marina on the 4 corners but then there are 4 towers we dont know about.
Deffinatly the tallest block on earth
dubaiflo April 2nd, 2005, 06:47 PM there's no proof that towers will be built there. but you are right there is space and perhaps we will see some new towers being approved in a few weeks..
and we don't know exactly about the shopping mall..
Admiror April 28th, 2005, 11:51 PM Is the new tower The Torch going to block marina views for Pinnacle???
Dubai-Lover April 29th, 2005, 12:17 AM yes it will
it's just across the street
you will be able to see the marina on the left side though
Admiror April 29th, 2005, 12:37 AM Sad.
What would they say to the poeple who have paid to have full marina views.
What are the three buildings on the left side of Pinnacle then? :|
AlMillion April 29th, 2005, 06:26 PM My advice would be to get information on the towers actually being built ... they tend to get shorter by the time they start construction work!!
Everyone will have views of some description, Emaar control it ...
dubaiflo April 30th, 2005, 07:52 PM somebody buying in marina pinnacle on 10th floor won't have a good sea view i guess though...

flo, it was already like that when you arrived here, right?
so, we can say, not too much happened for 2 months
except they spent several weeks on building a huge steel fence around the site!
dubaiflo June 21st, 2005, 05:02 PM yeah they were doing the fence, and there was a excavator inside the whole when i arrived...i think it is gone now?

just fill this one with water and i'll jump into it from le reve's roof :D
dubaiflo June 21st, 2005, 05:57 PM you will be dead if you do this, so are you sure?
AltinD June 21st, 2005, 06:04 PM The roof of Le reve is not that high, "just" 210 meters.
dubaiflo June 21st, 2005, 06:08 PM altin says you can do it.

:D
AltinD June 25th, 2005, 11:12 PM It seams the developer has heard voices about a very tall guy going around trying taking picture of their site, so they had increased the height of the boards around the site: is 2.5 times higher now (seriously)
dubaiflo June 26th, 2005, 12:58 PM lol!!! :D
how funny, the boards must be 6m now , can you take a photo?

malec September 21st, 2005, 11:32 AM According to the cityscape day 3 pdf this has 71 floors:
Tiger Real Estate first
The luxury, residential Marina
Pinnacle tower is Tiger Real Estate’s
first project in Dubai.
At 71-stories the tower houses
1, 2, and 3-bedroom residences
and, from its position between
Dubai Marina and Media City,
boasts views of the Gulf, Jumeira
Palm and Dubai Marina. Facilities
include four swimming pools – two
indoor and two outdoor – health
and leisure facilities, games and
function room, business centre and
more. The tower is due for
completion in 2007.
Sharjah-based Tiger Real Estate,
described as the ‘fresh face’ of the
almost 30-year-old Tiger Group, is
also planning two new projects in
Sharjah, by the sea.

Dubai_Boy September 21st, 2005, 12:03 PM [QUOTE=dubaiflo]How?[/eQUOTE]
Well look at the shoring system they have used , its clearly a dyaphragm wall supported with anchors drilled into it and embeded into the soil on the other side
And dyaphragm walls are rarely used coz it is the most expensive shoring system , and 99% of the time , it is used if underground parking or basement is to take place
dubaiflo September 21st, 2005, 04:19 PM that would explain the 3B+G and not more.

JimDublin May 15th, 2006, 05:36 PM Why are there no up to date photos posted on any of the web sites. Last shots seem to date back to February. Anyone hlep?
thedubailife May 15th, 2006, 05:49 PM ^^ The usual update guy Dubai Lover is no longer in Dubai and the others who are actually in Dubai don't have as much time to get around all developments.
AltinD May 15th, 2006, 06:11 PM The main reason is that the hoarding of the site is tall, uniform and with no gaps in between. The only possibility is to enter the site and we don't wanna do that.
However, as soon as the 3 underground floors are compleated and the tower is over ground, it will be much easier to take updates.
Another thing, with the summer approaching, the frequency and the number of updates reduces ... for obvious reasons.
Naz UK May 15th, 2006, 07:45 PM ^^ Why don't you want to enter the site? Surely if you say you are an investor they wouldn't mind you taking a few pics? (Or for any Damac site, just say you're from the Khaleej Times...works a treat every time :runaway: ).

GoDubai! October 27th, 2006, 11:05 AM Excellent photos of a site that's lookin' good.
Colonel Cadillac November 16th, 2006, 01:31 PM First new tower core in the marina in awhile. Hopefully the first of many. If they all go up at once, it will be the most impressive thing in highrise history.

True Blue December 17th, 2006, 03:05 AM GoDubai, I have looked at the pictures you refer to and agree that the starter bars, in many cases, appear less than the required minimum length. If the bar diameter is 25mm then we would expect to see 1000mm. The piles are however large diameter and in the pictures you can see men close to the piles which gives you scale. So on analysis more do comply.
Some are well below the requirements of BS8110 but that may not be the specification that the design team are working to. If there is a project manager in attendance he should have refered the foundations to the Engineer for inspection prior to covering up. The Engineer may have taken the view that not enough piles are out of spec to cause concern or he may be allowing for the latteral restraint being offered by the shoring piles which eliminates that requirement from the main piles leaving them to deal with thrust alone.

Tom_Green December 25th, 2006, 12:51 PM This tower will have no view....
Anybody want to complaint about that fact?
Morrismarina December 25th, 2006, 01:41 PM Of course nobody will complain......:ohno:...........because it's not being sold as having a Marina view !!!
GoDubai! December 25th, 2006, 03:38 PM It could be worse. It will have a roads on two sides and a low-rise shopping mall on another. Beyond that, yes towers, but a gap of some sort will be there. Also, the higher flats will be able to look over Le Reve, for clear sea views. Those will have excellent views. It's Marina 101 owners who will have a major complaint. Even at the 101st floor they will be blocked of sea views. And look at the Emirates Marina Residents tower. On one side the 60-storey tower will have a 70-storey tower at a distance of only 2 or 3 meters!
dubaiflo December 25th, 2006, 07:42 PM you won't have much of a view above 60th floor anyway..
but then again, MP does only have studio, 1bed and some 2bed so more of low target.
GoDubai! December 25th, 2006, 10:49 PM ^^So those poor ole folks who can only afford studio, 1- or 2-bedrooms don't deserve a view. Viva the rich!
thedubailife December 25th, 2006, 11:44 PM Some tower has to be behind another tower not all towers can have views. End of discussion. If you want a view buy in a tower with a view and not a second or third line tower.
And the view is not everything they will still get the atmosphere of the marina when they actually get to ground level
True Blue December 26th, 2006, 12:18 AM ^^So those poor ole folks who can only afford studio, 1- or 2-bedrooms don't deserve a view. Viva the rich!
Not having a view keeps the price down!
Studios in JBR with Sea and Palm views are selling for 650,000AED. VIVE LA RICH!

no but they are able to live in the marina because they are not paying 30% extra for views.

GoDubai! January 22nd, 2007, 08:30 PM ^^What a great perspective--the Marina unfolds before you, SZR and JLT to the left and the sea to the right. Whose photo is it? I definitely want to post it on my website.
