The Tel Aviv Local Planning and Building Commission has approved the Cinerama plan for deposit with the Tel Aviv Regional Planning and Building Board. The plan covers a 32-dunam (eight-acre) area owned by the Tel Aviv municipality between Anilewitz St., Yigal Alon St., the Ayalon Freeway and the Toyota Towers. The plan calls for the construction of 96,000-sq.m. of business and public space, with an option for an additional 21,000 sq.m., which would raise building rights to 550%. The Tel Aviv municipality initiated the plan.
The plan calls for the construction of skyscrapers of up to 50 stories on three main lots. Tel Aviv municipal engineer Danny Kaizer said the plan aimed at fulfilling the area's building potential to create an dense urban business continuity along the Ayalon Freeway.
