Anybody know of contacts one could call to participate in volunteering efforts? There is no specific area of work. Could range from beautification, to cleaning up the city, to helping the disabled or sick, etc..

There is جمعية أصدقاء حدائق جدة, but I can't seem to find a website or information online. I've submitted a question about the group to the city's municipality to see if they could help, since it has worked with them according to news articles. I don't know if they'll even respond.

I've heard of Alzheimer's Friends Society Jeddah, or something like that, but I also can't seem to find information on it online. I even got the name of the person who leads it, but that did not help in the search.

I've actually been looking for groups like the parks one for a while, and I never knew one existed until I ran across an article in Al-Riyadh newspaper about it yesterday.

There's trash lining much of the corniche in Jeddah. Some parts of the corniche are disgusting. I saw one of the biggest rats I've seen in my life crawling next to the weirdest-looking cat I've ever seen in the corniche area just south of South Ubhur.

My weekends are pretty much wasted. I need to find something to do.

EDIT: One good potential project is to build shelters for all the stray cats we have running around the city.
