Jovan Dučić is from Trebinje! That's all I need to say about Trebinje. These days Trebinje is medium size town with ~50.000 population. It's center of Eastern Herzegovina, and maybe biggest tourist attraction in Serb Republic. Trebinje is just 10-15 km away from Dubrovnik!

never went to trebinje.
when I look at those pics I'll add trebinje to the towns I'm going to visit across serbian lands summer 2005 (novisad,beograd,kragujevac,banja luka,zrenjanin,loznica,zvornik,and some more(6 week trip))

I can add that tupanjac (multimillionere from chicago) is from bileca; serbian hercegovina, he organised to bring home jovan ducic some years ago. R.I.P

I'm planning to visit Trebinje next summer too, it's wonderful city. You can't really see it from these pictures. It's one of the preattiest Serbian cities.

And Majevičan, if you are going to visit Novi Sad, you should visit Subotica too, and Fruška Gora. Subotica is also beautiful Serbian town.

trebinje is a realy historic, beautiful old town, but defnetly not the biggest tourist destination in rep. srpska... jahorina, and teslic(banja vrucica area) are the biggest tourist attractions in RS.

Yes, you are at right...I don't know why did I say it, I forgot Jahorina. But it's top 3 tourist destinations for sure ;)

And Banja Vrućica is great place too. Maybe someone could make a thread about 'banje' in Serbia and Montenegro and Serb Republic?
