hey fellas, you prob all got the email recently bout the big meeting on the 30th, which is the week after next. I urge you to attened because they are seriously considerin closing the course down!!! which would mean we would have to move interstate to continue our studies!!! i cant belive this is even being considered when there is such high demand for us, absolutely ridicoulus!!!:@:@:@:@

The meeting is not about closing us down.

We are trying to move away from the school of natural and built environments, into the architecture school. In our current school, engineering is losing a lot of money (mining is being phased out as we speak), but planning breaks even - this year's 1st year students is a record size as well, so we're not going anywhere.

Still, go to the meeting though, there's a rumour going around that we may be moved to Mawson Lakes Campus, which will be promptly met with "objections" from us :) If I ever have to go back to that campus, my body will be found in a blood filled bath tub.

Oh and in rsponse to your first thread which I just saw now - Andrew Allan = champion. I haven't gone to any of the student bar meets yet, i'm too busy organising my own :D

lol nice work, but you should come along to the pub crawls incredibly cheap drinks, pints for 2 bucks, and 2 for 1 spitits!!!! anyway i was under the impression they were closing it down, thats a relief that they arent i was thinkin i was going to have to move to melbourne!!
yeah andrew allan is cool, but rick is def the best, dont know if u have had him yet, ull have him for infrastructure workshop i think and urban design next yr. But my gosh how grrrrrrrr is sada!! lucky if u understand 2 words coming out of his mouth at once!
