We are a group of modelers in the USA trying to re-create the famous Kai Tak airport. (It's a hobby of flying simulation enthusiasts). After months of internet research, purchasing books, materials, photos, etc., we still have come up short on a few good external snapshots of the old terminal building. After all how many people stand around taking photos of airport terminals!
So a couple of questions and a favor for those in Hong Kong:
1. - Even thought the airport is now torn up is the airport terminal building still standing? The parking structure?
2. - Does anyone have any photos outside of the terminal they could email me?
3. - If not, would any kind soul who happens to wander past that area could snap up a few photos for us? This would be of tremendous help!!!
If you can spend a few minutes please post here or email me at:
socalmarcus@yahoo.com and I can explain more fully.
Thanks so much... used to fly to Hong Kong in the 90's on business all the time from Washiongton... what can I say but a great city!
