Speaking of the Negros Trade Fair...

Serge lauds Negros producers
BY CARLA GOMEZ

MAKATI CITY – Senator Sergio Osmeña III yesterday lauded Negrense producers for what he called their "high quality and excellent" products being sold at the 26th Negros Trade Fair at the Rockwell Tent here.

Once again the Negrense producers have come up with new products with new designs that not only sell in the Philippines but also abroad, said Osmeña, whose mother is a Bacoleña.

Fifty-six members of the Association of Negros Producers are participating in this year's trade fair that began Wednesday and ends tomorrow.

Osmena, who visited the trade fair with his wife Bettina, said that, to further boost their competitive edge, the Negrense producers should also explore going into computer aided designs by tapping the skills of the younger generation.

Guv inaugurates new hospital emergency room

By Teresa Ellera-Dulla

Saturday, October 1, 2011

NEGROS Occidental Governor Alfredo Marañon Jr. led the inauguration of the new emergency room (ER) of the Teresita Jalandoni Provincial Hospital (TJPH) in Silay City.

While under renovation, the hospital has temporarily transferred its ER at the hospital's chapel until its completion and inauguration Friday.

Provincial Budget Officer Percival Salado Jr. said the ER is part of the construction of the hospital extension worth P100 million while the cost of the renovation of the ER alone is worth a total of P2 million.

The renovation included the Male Doctors’ Quarter and Female Doctors’ Quarter while its services include a Trauma Room with two beds, Internal Examination Room with one table, Medical Section with six stretchers, Pediatric Section with two beds, Observation Unit with 10 beds, Triage with eight chairs, and Infectious Section with one bed; five air-conditioning units will also be installed in the area.

The Provincial Government hospital is currently constructing the hospital’s annex building to accommodate more patients that need medical assistance.

It is upgrading the TJPH into a tertiary hospital increasing the bed capacity from 100 to 250.

^^according to the websites I've read, the official height of any building is measured up to the tip of its spire as long as the structure is permanent. so, it would be really nice if we can have the official meters or feet, not just based on the height of the number of floors/roof. example Taipei 101, burj khalifa.

^^tani within this year na ma end ang contract sang mga bread stores para ma confirm kag sugod na dayun construction sang savemore HH.

True!where Sanparq spire is as good as Approximately equivalent to a 2 floors of the building.
SM Savemore Sum-ag will be a good addition to the baranggay's Town feel.Sum-ag a must next to have is a new Baranggay hall building.Just what Villamonte or Punta-taytay's have.

You have followed their request not to include the write-ups in your quoted posts. And its obvious that you have provided the official link of that picture as the source.

But well some people aren't that open to sharing and promotion. They want to keep those things for themselves. Haven't they noticed the benefits of being advertised and promoted for free? Anyway bay-i da sila.

BMW opens first showroom in M’danao (http://www.businessweekmindanao.com/2011/10/02/bmw-opens-first-showroom-in-m%E2%80%99danao/)

By Mike Baños

CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY – Germany’s Performance and Luxury car brand BMW has set up its first ever Mindanao dealership in this city.

BMW Premium Motoren Corporation has just opened a P26-million 1,300 sq.m. showroom and service center at a 3,600 square meter lot in the business park of the plush Pueblo de Oro Township in Uptown Cagayan de Oro.

“We will offer the whole line of BMW car models now available in the Philippines as well as BMW motorcycle and bicycles, plus accessories like High Performance Engine Kits and mag wheels for racing, as well as lifestyle items,” said Alan H. Muñoz, Director for Dealer Development. “Our prices from cars to accessories and services are the same nationwide.”

At present, BMW has five dealerships across the country: Prestige Cars (Makati), Autohaus BMW (Libis, Quezon City), Autozentrum BMW (Alabang), Pampanga Premier Cars and Performance Auto BMW (Cebu). Besides Cagayan de Oro, another BMW dealership in Bacolod will also be opening this month. Asian Carmakers Corp. (ACC) headed by Kagay-anon tycoon Jose Ch. Alvarez, is the official distributor and importer of BMW cars in the Philippines.

“Mindanao is a very good market for our motorcycles,” Mr. Muñoz said. “This is our biggest market next to Manila. And that will continue to grow, because admittedly, not only will we be selling to Cagayan de Oro, but the other major cities in Mindanao. We see Mindanao as one big market and the cities are all interconnected with good roads conducive to motorcycling. Having it in Cagayan de Oro will be good.”

BMW car and motorcycle enthusiasts have welcomed the establishment of the showroom and service center in the city since they previously had to send their BMW units to Cebu for servicing.

“This is welcome news for us BMW enthusiasts who previously had to spend a fortune even just to have our units checked up since we had to send them to Cebu,” said Roberto W. Ansaldo, a businessmen and member of Kagay-anon Krusers, a local group of big bike enthusiasts.

Bayerische Motoren Werke AG (BMW or Bavarian Motor Works) is a German automobile, motorcycle and engine manufacturing company famous for its performance and luxury vehicles, and is a global leader in premium car sales. It also owns and produces the Mini brand, and is the parent company of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars. BMW produces motorcycles under BMW Mootrrad and Husqvarna brands.

With all these available tourist venues,i would suggest the province to produce a tv ad for a nationwide audience.Dealing a partnership with the airlines or NN for a package tour will increase our tourist arrivals.A travel agent concentrating on selling holiday packages in the province is another option.

‘Lagaw Bacolod’ launched

BY RANIE S. AZUE

BACOLOD City — To promote Bacolod’s eco-tourism attractions, the Sangguniang Panlungsod launched “Lagaw Bacolod” over the weekend.

“Lagaw Bacolod” is an initiative that aims to revisit potential tourism attractions in upland barangays in the city, which will be a good add-on to the world-renowned MassKara Festival, Councilor Homer Bais, chair of the Committee on Tourism, said.

In particular, the project will be taken in coordination with private developers and landowners in Brgy. Alangilan, who have invested money to develop the sleepy upland community into a tourism site, Bais said.

According to Bais, Brgy. Alangilan — which is also near the city — has all the potentials for luring both local and foreign tourists through its rich biodiversity and cool climate.

Another advantage of this village, Bais said, is that it is geographically between upland barangays of Talisay City and Murcia where mountain resorts are currently being developed.

If a road network that will connect Brgy. Alangilan and the upland villages of Talisay City and Murcia, the area can be transformed into a world-class tourism site, he said.

Fireworks illuminated the night sky after the lighting up of the colorful bandstand at the Bacolod public plaza to open the 32nd MassKara Festival Saturday.*

MassKara kicks off with a bang

The MassKara season is on!

The Bacolod public plaza has turned into a virtual MassKara park with the lighting up of the bandstand and the 19 giant mask-lanterns during the opening of the 32nd MassKara Festival Saturday.

The celebration is expected to increase tourist influx to Bacolod throughout the 19-day festival.

Acting Mayor Jude Thaddeus Sayson, in his message during the opening ceremonies at the public plaza Saturday, said the MassKara Festival has evolved from a simple dance parade to what it is now – world-class.

He thanked festival organizers and the sponsors for bringing the MassKara to a level where it is now known throughout the world.

Sayson said “We are hoping that in these 19 days of celebration, we could bring Bacolod to the forefront of the tourism industry.”

He also explained that Mayor Evelio Leonardia had requested him to express his (mayor’s) greetings to the people of Bacolod and to inform them that he was in Indonesia to represent Bacolod and the Philippines in the meeting of five ASEAN countries.

Sayson said the mayor will be back in Bacolod today.

Also present at the opening rites were Councilors Homer Bais, Roberto Rojas, El Cid Familiaran and Al Victor Espino.

Benitez to help ANP producers boost sales
BY CARLA GOMEZ

MAKATI CITY – Rep. Alfredo Abelardo Benitez (Neg. Occ., 3rd District) said he will help members of the Association of Negros Producers, who ended their 26th Negros Trade Fair at the Rockwell Tent here yesterday, access markets to further boost their sales.

Benitez, who visited the trade fair and met with ANP president Josephine Locsin, said what is needed is to link the producers to networks of buyers to enable sales to continue beyond the trade fair.

Locsin said they welcome the suggestions and offer of Benitez to help bring the sale of ANP products to a higher level, especially in the Philippine market, amid slow sales abroad.

“The congressman had many suggestions for us,” Locsin said.

She said the sales during their five-day 26th Negros Trade Fair that ended yesterday was good considering that it was held a day after Typhoon Pedring hit Metro Manila and ended as Typhoon Quiel began.

Benitez said that, while the Negros producers have the skills to produce products, their efforts that are mostly small scale should be brought to a higher level by encouraging more entrepreneurship.

This is by finding the proper markets to match their products, or by gearing their products to meet specific needs of the market for continuous sales, he said.

“It's not just skills development, it's not just making the product, its also important to understand the need of the market…that’s where we need to focus now,” he said.

Government Service Insurance System chairman Daniel Lacson Jr., who was the governor of Negros Occidental when the ANP began its annual trade fair in Manila 26 years ago, said it has become an institution, and is something that is very special to Negrenses.

“The trade fair is a symbol of our struggle, the liberation from the many problems that we were facing during the darkest moments of our lives in Negros during the 1980s,“ he said.

The 26th trade fair also saw groups like the Negrense Volunteers for Change and the Vallehermoso Helping Hands Foundation selling products to raise funds to help their causes for children.

The NVC volunteers not only sold items they brought to raise funds for their feeding program for toddlers, they got donations from young producers at the trade fair.

Eva Coruña and sister, Sarah Bilbao, whose Chievs booth was adjacent to the NVC booth donated bookmarks and necklaces for the volunteers to sell as added income for their cause.

Loudes Valderama also turned over some of her jewelry at her booth to the NVC to sell.*CPG

Rediscover Alangilan campaign on
BY CHRYSEE SAMILLANO

The Bacolod City government has launched a program “Revisit, rediscover Alangilan” to promote Barangay Alangilan as a tourist destination in the island of Negros in celebration of Tourism Month.

This will be an ongoing program of the city, Bacolod Councilor Homer Bais, chairman of the Sangguniang Panlungsod Committee on Tourism, said during an eco-tour with members of the media Saturday in Alangilan.

Bais said they want to package Brgy. Alangilan since it has a big potential of becoming a tourist destination and it only needs the government’s intervention in terms of promotion.

He said the barangay has a polo field, an ecological resort, a tree park, and there is a man-made lake also being developed in the area, vermin culture, and a future retirement village.

Japan, with its increasing old age rate, finds the Philippines a good retirement destination because of its caregivers, he added.

Bais said the landowners in Alangilan are willing to invest their money in developing their areas into a tourist destination because they see that there is a market.

The eco-tour Saturday included a trip to the Buro-buro of Jose Henares, who is into vermin culture, the proposed man-made lake of the Bantug family, Dodoy’s Ecological resort, and the private resort of the Bonnin family, that was a former quarry site which they had rehabilitated.

Vice Mayor Jude Thaddeus Sayson said they would like to show that Alangilan has the potential to become a tourist destination.

“For day tours, we could include Alangilan in the itinerary and people will find it at par with any tourism destination,” he said adding that it just needs a little improvement especially on the roads.

Sayson said Alangilan is located in the boundary of Murcia and Talisay and just above it is Campuestuhan where there are cable cars. The barangay is part of the watershed area, he said.

The city has converted a 10-hectare area in Alangilan into a tree park and they hope to reforest the area considering that this is the watershed of Bacolod, he added.

Alangilan Brgy. Captain Degie Tanista Sr. said Alangilan has the potential to become a tourist destination but they do not have the funds to develop it.

He said they will create a tourism council that will promote the barangay for eco-tourism.

Sayson said that, to develop Alangilan into a tourist destination, they need to prepare the program of works to be submitted to the concerned government agencies for funding sources since the city does not have enough resources.

“We may not have beautiful beaches but we have a mountain barangay which we can convert into one of the tourism destination of Bacolod City,” he said.

Michael Lawrence Bantug, whose family owns the polo club, said they are developing a portion of their property, which used to be planted with sugarcane, into a man-made lake.

He said they also have plans to put up a football field and a mountain resort nearby that will have facilities like swimming pools, a campsite, picnic area and a mini zoo.

Juan Jose Bonnin said he is also putting up a resort on their property while Allan Joseph Arceo will also put up a retirement village in his area.

Barangay Kagawad Edgardo Paura, who owns Dodoy’s Ecological resort, said they started operating two months ago and they have two swimming pools, one a kiddie pool, constructed in an area of about 2.331 square meters.

Jose Henares of the Buro-Buro Spring Corporation, who produces high value vegetables and organic or vermi fertilizer, said their place was once a flower farm. But after being informed by his wife that the province had a high incidence of cancer cases in 1998 due to the presence of nitrate in the chemical fertilizer used in sugarcane, he said, they learned how to produce vermin fertilizer with the help of worms.

Henares said they now produce 10 tons of vermi fertilizer a month.*CGS

Negros Occidental soon to export organic bananas, pineapples

By Teresa Ellera-Dulla
Monday, October 3, 2011

NEGROS Occidental will soon be exporting organic bananas and pineapples to Japan.

Organic farmer Batchoy Henares of the famous Henares Organic Farm in Barangay Alangilan, Bacolod City, said that a Japanese investor is coming in the city this November to sign an agreement for an export business for organic bananas and pineapples.

The Japanese exporter, he said, initially demands them to ship to Japan at least two forty footer container vans of bananas and pineapples per week.

“We are confident that we can deliver their demands with the cooperation of our local farmers here,” Henares said.

He pointed out that Japan’s demand from here would mean a 150-hectare banana and pineapple plantation. During the first planting, he said, it would take about nine months to produce bananas and pineapples that would then have a monthly produce to cope with the demands.

The Henares organic farm is about 20 hectares that now produces organic vegetables like lettuce. They also markets organic calamansi. They use organic fertilizer produced from vermiculture composting.

The Provincial Governments of Negros Occidental and Negros Oriental have forged an agreement to promote organic farming in the two provinces.

I think what they said was right. Negros was never short of talents. More in-depth market study lang for segments where demand for our products would come from, particularly segments that are willing to spend. There's a cause for every problem for which a solution is always available. Maybe we have learned to cling to this that's why for us, there's no way but up. Negros’ Spas Gear for Professional Training and Local Herbs
Bacolod City News Gil Alfredo B. Severino Negros Business Negros Occidental Philippines
By Gil Alfredo B. Severino

The Spa Alliance of Negros Occidental (SPAN) held their induction ceremony last Saturday with emphasis on the "Negrense Touch" which is presenting the richness of the indigenous wellness concept, the bounty of local herbs and their continuous efforts to professionalize their services.

It is the richness of the Filipino concept of health and wellness and strict compliance to the Department of Health standards that will put the Philippine Spas in the global medical tourism map thus SPAN President Mrs. Vicky Que explained that the theme "Negrense Touch" meant Spa Treatment through local herbs.

Local herbs like lemon grass (tanglad), kasla, luy-a, calamansi, coconut oil, among others, are now available for the use of SPAN members which Mrs. Que said can slowly move Negros into a national spa destination and compete globally in the future.

Last Saturday’s induction theme was "The Negrense Touch: Inspiring Global Health and Wellness Initiatives" and Mrs. Que took this to mean marketing strategy for SPAN members using various local herbs.

She recalled how once a local enterprise called "Patnubay" sustained itself for many years using that popular "pito-pito" for body cleansing and other locally produced massage materials.

SPAN Vice President Mrs. Gloria Fisher of O’Fisher Spa, on the other hand, invested in individualized training in compliance with the requirements of the Department of Health.

Despite the cost, Mrs. Fisher believed that health professionalism through rigid training which included knowledge of human anatomy is vital in offering excellent services to clients.

Together with several of her massage therapists, Mrs. Fisher is presently undergoing training herself besides being an American trained nurse.

She said her therapists know how to take blood pressure (BP) and refused those whose BP are way beyond the acceptable level; clients with fever are refused likewise because this could be symptoms of other sensitive infections.

O’Fisher Spa was the first in Bacolod to introduce the traditional "hilot" with an "orasyon" prior to commencement of the massage while the Bacolod Spa was the first to introduce the Igorot foot massage "dagdagay" and the Driftwood Spa offered the first foot ritual.

Convened by former Councilor Jocelle Batapa-Sigue four years ago, SPAN is an organization of 10 legitimate spas operating in Bacolod City – Bacolod Spa, O’Fisher Spa, My Phaat Spa, Blade/Spa Natura, Grand Royal Spa, Driftwood Spa, CJ Therapy, Livewell Spa and Emperor Spa; Blade has branches in Mambukal, and Bacolod-Silay Airport.*

^^sad to say @chris, no bidding will take place coz capitol opted not to lease out the paglaum property anymore and instead, will finance the construction of the building itself. the design is fairly good enough but, i'd say, could have been better if RLC or ALI or SM develop the property instead.

LCC is sending a 45-member giant MassKara puppets, some of which were presented to the media yesterday at the Bacolod Government Center.
The giant puppets, each standing 12 feet tall and created with a flamboyant personality and unique design, will be dancing in the arena of the public plaza as the first performer in the streetdance, he said.

Tajanlangit said that for several years before 2005, the LCC ARFIEN Department had participated in the festival as streetdancing contingent.
Because they were artists, their creativity oftentimes went beyond the guidelines of the streetdancing and there was a year they were disqualified from the competition, Tajanlangit said.

Board weighs best option for Paglaum property

Tuesday, October 4, 2011

THE Provincial Board is now considering the best option for the Provincial Government’s property at the Paglaum Sports Complex after the area was cleared of illegal settlers.

The options to be decided are either to offer the raw land to interested investors or for Capitol to erect a building and offer spaces for lease, said Acting Governor Genaro Alvarez.

Before Governor Alfredo Marañon Jr. left for Japan, Alvarez said that the governor asked the Board to study the best option for the Paglaum property.

Marañon will be back on October 9 from Japan where he attended various activities and conferences, including the conference relative to the 50th anniversary celebration of Organization for Industrial, Spiritual and Cultural Advancement-International.

Alvarez said that based on the data submitted to him by Provincial Administrator Enrique Pinongan, Capitol would be earning about P59,677,580 per annum if they are going to construct a building and offer the property for lease at P300 per square meter. Whereas, if it would only offer the land for lease, Capitol is estimated to earn P10,854,000 per annum from lease at P75 per square meter.

Marañon earlier said that Capitol will earn more if they would construct a building on its property at Paglaum rather than offer it for lease on a raw land.

He said that they would schedule the bidding for the said properties within this year.

Capitol reacquired ownership of the Paglaum Sports Complex from the Department of Education on some conditions, including the construction of a school building for the Negros Occidental High School. The construction of the school building is now ongoing along Lacson Street. (Teresa Ellera-Dulla)

Lawmakers deny political agenda in Macau trip

| More |
Tuesday, October 4, 2011

REPRESENTATIVES Albee Benitez (3rd district, Negros Occidental) and Jeffrey Ferrer (4th district, Negros Occidental) clarified there was no political agenda in their recent trip to Macau with the mayors and members of the Provincial Board.

Ferrer said that they met with potential investors in Macau who signified their intention of putting up an investment in the power requirements of the province.

"We want to give solution to the power problem in the province," Ferrer said.

Benitez denied reports of a political agenda come 2013 after about 20 out of the 31 mayors in Negros Occidental and 11 members of the Provincial Board went with him, along with Ferrer and Representative Alfredo Maranon III (2nd district, Negros Occidental) for an overnight trip to Macau recently.

“No politics. Just bonding with the UNA (United Negros Alliance) mayors,” Benitez said.

Benitez also denied that the trip was already in preparation for the 2013 elections amid persisting reports of his plans to run for governor.

“It is not true,” Benitez pointed out.

The 20 mayors were headed by EB Magalona chief executive Mayor David Lacson, president of the Association of Chief Executives in Negros.

Ferrer said that no government fund was spent in their trip, which was also a sort of a team-building activity for the Negros officials.

Either Benitez or Ferrer are reportedly being groomed for governor come 2013 amid statement issued by Governor Alfredo Marañon that he is just good for one term.

However, both Benitez and Ferrer denied the said report.

Benitez is just on his first term as congressional representative of the 3rd congressional district, while Ferrer has still one more term in Congress. (Teresa Ellera-Dulla)

Dapat lang nga joint ila programs kay nakita ko nga as of the moment, sabog ila nga efforts. Oftentimes, the provincial tourism board ba ang ga-promote sang Bacólod kaysa sa Bacólod mismo. There is something definitely wrong with the City Tourism Office that needs to be remedied soon. :ohno:

Nakita ta naman ang rendering pero ambot a, I still have the gut feeling that the building design would be better with a prospect of better tenants kung ipatindog sang dako nga development company pero kung ano ang mas maayo sa province, amo dapat ang manaig. :)

Aaaah! The cat is finally out of the bag... I tell you guys, these two have plans to run for Governor. I received news nga Albee kuno has been kicked out (or is planned to be kicked out?) of NPC and seeking shelter in LP? Damo ko HH nga gakabatian sa political arena owing to my political connections but one thing's strong... either Albee or Ferrer or both will run for Governor.

Another angle coming out that either of the two or Cong. Marañon will be the Vice-Gubernatorial candidate of Vice-Gov. Alvarez if he plans to run for Governor. Basta, sadya ang pulitika mag 2013 but more so pa guid on 2016 and 2019.:cheers::):D

Silay airport manager to look into complaints
BY CARLA GOMEZ

Complaints have been aired over unruly behavior of some people at the arrival and departure areas of the Bacolod-Silay Airport.

Board Member Nehemias de la Cruz, chairman of the Negros Occidental Sangguniang Panlalawigan Committee on Tourism, yesterday said the first and last impression of a tourist about the province is made at the airport so the matter should be addressed by the airport management.

Passengers must not be hassled at the airport, so they will have a good impression of the province, said de la Cruz, who was reacting to reports of the unruliness at the airport.

Passengers at the arrival and departure areas are met by porters trying to grab their bags, and persons in blue uniforms with the markings “Civil Aviation Authority” are seen squeezing in with passengers taking baggage off conveyor belts for certain clients.

Outside the airport, passengers are met by persons trying to lure them to their waiting public utility vehicles.

Several passengers have complained that there appears to be no order at the airport.

Bacolod-Silay Airport OIC manager Jun Madamba said he will look into the complaints and act on them.

He said the men in blue uniforms picking baggage off conveyor belts must be janitorial service employees who are not allowed to get baggage for arriving passengers.

Madamba said he will also look into the problem of arriving and departing passengers being waylaid by people trying to carry their bags or get vehicles for them.*CPG

15th MassKara Village opens

The 15th MassKara Village opened yesterday with 68 participating artists from Bacolod City and other cities and towns in Negros Occidental, at the 2nd Floor of Robinson’s Place in Bacolod City.

Different designs and concepts were used by the artists to make unique and fancy faces of MassKara. Some used fish scales, beads, wires, while others used recycled materials.

Vice Mayor Jude Thaddeus Sayson said the mask-making contest allowed participants to make use of recyclable materials and create new art, adding that artists have become more creative with their designs.

ABS-CBN overall project head Yasmin-Pascual Dormido said the top three winners will be chosen and the People’s Choice Award will be given to the entry with most number of “likes” via TVPatrol facebook fan page. They will also award 10 consolation winners.

The judging will be held tomorrow and the awarding ceremony is set on Oct. 14 at the Central City Walk at Robinson’s Place, Dormido said.*LTG

Bacollywood launch Oct. 8

The 4th Bacollywood: Cinema Rehiyon, National Independent Film and Video Art Festival on Feb. 8 to 11, 2012 will be launched at the Art District, Lopue’s Mandalagan annex, on October 8, a press release from the organizers said.

This national event is a pilot project of the National Commission of Culture and the Arts Committee on Cinema in celebration of the National Arts Month 2012.

It is in cooperation with Crossing Negros Cultural Foundation Inc. and produced by Produksyon Tramontina Inc. and will feature contemporary bands, like Katumbal, No One is Righteous, Maskobado Groove, Drum Circle, and the music of DJ Ben Thomson, the press release said.

Bacolod City will be the venue of the 2012 Bacollywood: Cinema Rehiyon, a project that gives premium to movies created outside Metro Manila. The film festival will feature short and full feature films reflective of local culture, produced by emerging Filipino filmmakers and set in various regions of the Philippines. It will bring together stakeholders, professionals and students of the growing independent filmmaking movement and become a venue for discourse and creative learning. Films will be shown in both commercial cinemas and in barangay public venues through Cine de Barrio, the press release said.

Filmmakers from Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao will attend the festival. Admission is free for all film screenings, and each schedule will be followed by interaction with the film directors. The Video Art Installation will be open to the public in various locations from January 2012 up to the festival proper, the press release added.*

^^ Another AMAZEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEENGNESS!!! :)

I think what they said was right. Negros was never short of talents. More in-depth market study lang for segments where demand for our products would come from, particularly segments that are willing to spend. There's a cause for every problem for which a solution is always available. Maybe we have learned to cling to this that's why for us, there's no way but up. Congratulations to the people behind the trade fair, and to all of us... Clap... Clap... Clap...:cheer:

I Sooooo agree miga... :clap::clap::clap::clap::clap:

But well some people aren't that open to sharing and promotion. They want to keep those things for themselves. Haven't they noticed the benefits of being advertised and promoted for free? Anyway bay-i da sila.

Never did I know that my Kilometric Posts makes someone Happy na pala... :)

TRADEMARK ko guid na abi migo moh? Am I right?

You may wanna try Saltimboca Pensionne if you want a class hotel accommodation that is really cheap. Its just behind Balay Quince in 15th Street. :D:) Well, if you'll go to Bacólod three years from now just stay sa hotel that'll be across it... ;)

^^ Coca-Cola Hotel??? :) Or FISH HOTEL??? :)

its good to know that our provincial government is aggressive in promoting our province to the bpo/IT industry. i think our governor is one of the most dynamic and hardworking public servant in the country today..,:banana:

This I agree so much... maybe the Governor does not want people to look at him as just a Mere Brother of one of the Greatest Governor Negros ever had, Joseph Maranon, that is why he is making a Name for himself that will be known to the people and not just a mere "Brother" to Joseph... :)

Inspired na siya abi sang Masskara.

^^ Huhuhuhu speaking of Masskara, sira lahat ng plans dahil hindi ko makapuli eh kay sako guid sa work... wala na ko Leave kay ubos na sang na Hospital ako... :(

I agree!:okay:
Esp after the TRO episode !:lol::lol::lol:

^^ Hahahahahaha TRO is EXTINCT na migo... Soon, the COLOSSUS will rise na! :)

I just hope that the one-term huring huring for him would not be. Budlay man magchange hands ang provincial admin. Better let him finish all three or at least two terms. :D

^^ I think the people of Negros Occidental will still support him especially for the things that he have done to make lives easier and productive for many Negrenses... I firmly believe that Negrense People are wise voters so I am not worried coz I know, if Alfredo Maranon will once again run for the Gubernatorial seat, Negrense people will still vote for him... :)

Leaders give inputs
for Albee’s sugar act
BY CARLA GOMEZ

Sugar leaders yesterday welcomed the move of Rep. Alfredo Abelardo Benitez (Neg. Occ., 3rd District) to push for the passage of a Philippine Sugar Act to enable the country’s sugar industry to survive economic liberalization, and aired their suggestions.

OPINIONS
Albee on Sugar Act

Take a bow, Rep. Alfredo Abelardo Benitez (3rd Neg. Occ.) You have done something which a lot of Negrense sugar business people had long aspired for – take a second look at the sugar industry.

Evolving. Thats the big difference of Masskara Fest among the other Phil festivals. Theres always something new everytime its being celebrated. From Masks to choreography, to music, among others. Plus may added features pa like The Electric Masskara. And now these giant puppets. Kudos to the peeps of Masskara executive committee. thanks @neomind for the photos. :)
