Guys, just watched the interview on cable TV of Talisay city mayor Eric Saratan and he talked about his plans and projects for his city, one of the topics also covered were the plans of Ayala in Talisay, ang gina ubra da gali subong na ground works para na kuno sa ila transport terminal and soon ma start naman ang ila "Mall", that's the term used by the mayor mga migs ha kay basi bala may ma angal naman da, damu daan ga bantay, hehe....the mayor also said that the prospective locators sa ila BPO/IT Hub naga require gid sang transport terminal kag mall, ti amo ni siguro nga na delay ang pag occupy da sang ila 1st BPO building....so things are looking up also for the city of Talisay.....:cheers:

Negros Occidental has been producing Pili Nuts just like Sorsogon, Albay and the Camarines Provinces. Just like when we produce durian for commercial trade like Davao. Its just nice that it really shows nga NEGROS IS MORE THAN JUST SUGAR!

Dapat lang nutritious kay grabe work na nila sa campo to keep our sugar industry running at minimum wage. Kung may dapat ta pasalamatan more than the hacienderos, dapat sila ina. Kudos sa atun mga sacadas, they are very worthy to be recognized. :eat:

In my personal opinion, indi man guid mapatay siya. To look at the positive side, its more of a challenge to reform not just in façade but in all her ways. I always look at the positive side of things kay this "dying" can also happen to the other "lady". :)

We know full well that Negros cannot sustain its economy with just sugar but I am very much happy that organic farming is gaining ground. Sir Chin Chin Uy even told us that people from as far as Ilocos come to Negros to learn organic farming at Fresh Start. By the way, next week na daw ma open ang ila store sa Citywalk. Updates na lang daw by the end of the week. :cheers:

One thing, the younger lady also had a near death experience but lived to tell the tale and changed her ways. The key is change. People of similar experiences should work together, not kill each other for they can share experiences and learn from each other. :)

In my personal opinion, indi man guid mapatay siya. To look at the positive side, its more of a challenge to reform not just in façade but in all her ways. I always look at the positive side of things kay this "dying" can also happen to the other "lady". :)

One thing, the younger lady also had a near death experience but lived to tell the tale and changed her ways. The key is change. People of similar experiences should work together, not kill each other for they can share experiences and learn from each other. :)

Mendones said the company is also upgrading its distillery in Pulupandan, Negros Occiental at a cost of P175 million. The plant, run by unit Asian Alcohol, stopped operations in 2009 when the main waterline was damaged. Once it is operational in 2013, the plant will produce normal daily capacity of 130,000 liters and generate savings of P315 million a year as the cost of internal produced alcohol is cheaper than alcohol purchased from external suppliers.

Other major projects will involve the addition of 750-ml bottling lines in Laguna and Negros plants for better cost efficiency.

Guys, just watched the interview on cable TV of Talisay city mayor Eric Saratan and he talked about his plans and projects for his city, one of the topics also covered were the plans of Ayala in Talisay, ang gina ubra da gali subong na ground works para na kuno sa ila transport terminal and soon ma start naman ang ila "Mall", that's the term used by the mayor mga migs ha kay basi bala may ma angal naman da, damu daan ga bantay, hehe....the mayor also said that the prospective locators sa ila BPO/IT Hub naga require gid sang transport terminal kag mall, ti amo ni siguro nga na delay ang pag occupy da sang ila 1st BPO building....so things are looking up also for the city of Talisay.....:cheers:

Tunisia in the summer is hot and sunny and whilst it is located in North Africa and appears in most travel brochures as a winter sun destination. This is somewhat optimistic as it can be very cold and windy between November and May .The reason Tunisia is featured is that the hotel rates are often less than half than the summer rates and the hotels are looking for occupancy to keep operating. They can often make more revenue from the bar than the room price per guest !

Beware that the hotels are built for the often schorching heats of the summer therefore the winter heating can be poor.

Choose a hotel with plenty of indoor activities and an indoor heated pool.

On the plus side,if you do not like the sun,the winter is an ideal time to explore this fascinating country.

Given the chance, I'd like to go back. The rates are slashed in half during off season. :cheers:

Organic fest slated next month

The 6th Negros Island Organic Farmers’ Festival is slated December 16 to 20 at the Provincial Capitol with new activities and more than 100 exhibitors from various organic groups from Negros island and around the country, a press release from organizers said.

The five-day activity will feature various events like the organic cookfest, a cooking demonstration of special organic menus by celebrity chefs, well-known restaurateurs and participants from selected culinary schools; and talks on the latest updates in organic agriculture, songwriting contest, quiz bees, and a concert.

TO ENSURE standardized quality training content and delivery among all training call center providers in Negros Occidental, the Bacolod-Negros Occidental Federation for ICT (BNEFIT) in partnership with the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (Tesda) of Negros Occidental will hold a three-day trainers’ boot camp on November 28 to 30 in Bacolod City.

BNEFIT aims to support the National ICT Confederation of the Philippines (NICP) in the implementation of the Training For Work Scholarship Program (TWSP) of Tesda and the Business Process Association of the Philippines (BPAP). The TWSP assigned to BNEFIT by NICP involves 1,200 call center training vouchers worth P6 million.


The boot camp is part of BNEFIT’s Training Quality Standardization Program (TQSP) in partnership with TeleDevelopment Services (TDS), a 20-year-old US-based contact center and BPO training company registered in the Philippines for the last 8 years.


BNEFIT chair Jocelle Batapa-Sigue said the program has been created to upgrade, equip, and calibrate trainers to meet industry training standards, but it is likewise open to schools and local governments which has integrated contact center skills in their core programs.

BNEFIT and Tesda also aim to ensure that NICP will hit its 70% target acceptance rate of graduated, endorsed and hired training scholars under the TWSP, Batapa-Sigue said.

PHILIP MORRIS Fortune Tobacco Corp. (PMFTC) is mulling an expansion of its plantations in the Visayas, the first foray into the region for the industry.

Part ni siya sang mga missionary churches all over the globe. What's good is subong Bacolod na ang naga send missionaries to other countries like Cambodia, Thailand, Kenya, etc. It's a way of giving back since we received so much.

That day I arrived at Negros for MassKara, there are swarms of these kind of jellyfishes at the port. They look like bell jellyfishes in Palau but black...I'm not sure though...

I might take superferry sa pagpuli..kay daw wala pa shot halin sa western side of bacolod. I want to capture the skyline of Bacolod. Thats my plan. Hala daw gina career haw..hehhee..wala pa man definite date ah kung when im going home.

Bacólod City is host to many Christian conferences and events. I am happy that many of our Evangelical hacienderos are giving much into missions. I know a lot of missionaries sent to many countries while a number are doing church plants in Iloilo. :)

Speaking of conferences..our church next year will host a national convention here in Negros..an annual event, last may 2011 sa Baguio and so this time sa visayas na naman.
Daw lima ma lang ka lugar pierme gina-iwat ang ini nga mga conferences: Baguio, Manila, Bacólod, Cebu and Davao. Sa IVCF gani, ever since nagstart ang Kawayan Camp sa Bago, wala na sila da naghalin ever kag dira na every year. :)

I love how the Café Culture has been spreading from the major cities of Negros to even the towns like Hinigaran. Truly, high-end guid man ya ang panabor sang Negrénse, wala sang ordinary kay makakita guid paagi na mangin special. :eat:

manamit na di ila mga pagkaon. dumduman ko pa taga kalalag gani nagapuli kami sang pamilya ko sa amon mga hometown diri kami ga-stopover para magkaon.
