Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital is a Regional Hospital as the name suggest under direct DOH supervision and covered by the City. Ang Provincial Hospital ya, ato sa Silay... ang Teresita Lopez Jalandoni Provincial Hospital. :)

Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Hospital has been elevated to Regional Hospital status for more than 2 decades na. At the same time the defunct Jose Locsin (Silay) Hospital was elevated to provincial hospital status..and lately was transferred to a new site as Teresita Jalandoni Mem. Prov'l Hospital.

Since there is no city hospital for Bacolod and CLMMRH is in Bacolod (since the 1900's), the city govt and its representative (congressman) shares in the operational expenses and other projects in CLMMRH. Thats why Bacolod City residents admitted in CLMMRH could avail assistance from the city social welfare assistance office and the congressional assistance office (commonly called "Mayor Bing" and "Doc Golez" offices :D) at the ground floor of CLMMRH. Other out-of-Bacolod patients also avail of assistance from their repective LGU's and congressional representatives.

So indi lang na ang provincial govt ang gapadalagan but the city as well, all under the supervision of the DOH National Office.

amu ni migs....ang ara sa Panay is WESTERN VISAYAS REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER sa Q.Abeto St., Mandurriao, Iloilo City. Amo na migs ang aton DOH Region VI. It was formerly called Iloilo Provincial Hospital. CLMMRH is also under WVMC, same with other major gov't hospitals in WV like Teresita Jalandoni (Silay), Iloilo Provincial (Pototan), WVSUMC (La Paz, Iloilo), Angel Salazar (San Jose de Buenavista, Antique), Dr.Ramon Tumbokon (Kalibo, Aklan) and Capiz Provincial (Roxas City) :)

^^indi gid man sya "fan" ah....sa bisan diin na aspect, indi lang sa ICT @doc spread out all over the province ang investments. indi lang ya "monopoly" sang provincial capital ta. bisan sa banking sector ta, damo ta ya commercial banks nga may presence sa iban nga towns and cities sang negros occ. our manufacturing plants as well are spread from north to south:)

indi maglayo, may BPO and not just small time BPO's, pero BIG NAMES sa industry in other areas of the province.

Just a confirmation guys coming from a provincial officer... A network station will build a transmitter at mt marapara and at the same time, will build a new station in the city of Bacolod.

NIA inaugurates newly-constructed dam in Negros Occ.

NIA 6 Regional Manager Gerardo Corsiga and Negros Occidental Governor Alfredo Maranon are expected to lead the inauguration ceremony at the project site in Brgy. Balicotoc, Ilog, Negros Occidental. They will be joined by Congresswoman Mercedes Alvarez, Ilog Mayor John Paul Alvarez, Kabankalan City Mayor Isidro Zayco and other of NIA officials in the region.

According to the National Irrigation Administration 6, the project is expected to supply water to some 713 hectares of diversified farms in the hinterlands of Ilog and Kabankalan City in Negros Occidental and benefit 554 households.

NIA 6 said the project cost for infrastructure was more than P278 million. Also included in the project implementation was the resettlement of the affected families as well as watershed management. The total cost for the environmental and social measures was about P56.6 million.

(Results of the 2010 Household Survey on Domestic Visitors)

The National Capital Region (NCR) was the most frequently visited place with 7.1 million domestic visitors from April to September 2010, of which 3.0 million traveled mainly for pleasure or vacation (Table 7). The other top destinations in Luzon were Cavite, Batangas, Bulacan, and Laguna, each with more than 1.4 million travelers.

Likewise, Nueva Ecija, Pangasinan, Pampanga, Rizal, Quezon and Tarlac were also listed as popularly visited places. In Visayas, Negros Occidental topped the list followed by Cebu, Iloilo, Leyte and Capiz. In Mindanao, the most frequently visited places were Lanao del Sur, Lanao del Norte, Davao Sur, and Misamis Oriental.

Just a confirmation guys coming from a provincial officer... A network station will build a transmitter at mt marapara and at the same time, will build a new station in the city of Bacolod.

GMA ni siya kay pagtour namun na upod ang mga taga-GMA, ginconfirm nila plans nila to build a transmitter tower in Marapara. :) Ang sa TV5 naman, may nag-gwa nga HH for a new transmitter tower and a TV Station in their own property. :cheers:

One just needs to check on the applications for building permits nga gapile sa mga Municipal and City Halls all over the Province of Negros Occidental. In the City Hall of Bacólod mismo, damo na may nakapatong for next year, both residential and commercial. :lol:

Nope. The PAGLAUM STADIUM the football field and the oval will be retained since it is of historical value. It will be repainted and repaired but not demolished. the developments will only be along the Heranaez and Lacson Streets :)

Indi man na guro ma deny ah...to those who went tour of the City Mayor's Hall in the Govt Center 2 years ago (Christmas Party 2009 with midnight meeting with Mayor and Eli Tajanlangit) nakita ta ang isa ka kwarto ga gutok ang trophies, plaques and banners of these prestigious awards :D :D

so dugay na nga multi-awarded ang siyudad pa :nuts:

And Bacolod wasn't awarded as winner by default, crown-yourself and proclaim-yourself-awarding committees and bodies. Its always a genuine achievement :D :D :applause:

Kanami sang Negros Showroom Citywalk! Daw pang high-end store ang feel. Daw ara lang sa Rockwell or Serendra ang look sang store. I hope they'll open a branch in Metropolitan Manila, Cebú, CDO and Davao. :cheers:

These are mentioned to me by my friend here at work. The report about the Apartments was told to her by her bestfriend who is renting there now, but was informed by the property owner to move because they will begin the demolitions anytime from this month.

All it needs Doc is an adventurous entrepreneur with a forward thinking mind to actually think of buying olive seedlings in whichever part of the Mediterranean countries and plant it there. Someone had that before and planted grapes. Now, most of our grapes are not from abroad kundi sa Tarlac and Ilocos lang halin. Kung abroad halin, most likely halin sa China. :lol:

I love Trinity Church! It is the most beautiful Evangelical Church building I have ever seen in Bacólod, inside and out. Nami man ang façade ka Cosmpolitan Church in Shopping, also Cosmopolitan Church in Circumferential pero galing medyo di ko tipo ang style ka interior. :)

Olive trees actually need a climate that has a full sun exposure yet cool and a soil that has free drainage. Ang climatic conditions nga ginpangita ya similar guid sa manga. Sa Negros naman, the best place is still Candoni kay the soil pH pasado, as with climate and soil drainage.

Si Mayor Celot Borromeo gani has even successfully cultivated grapes in his property. May gamay da siya na vineyard. Grapes grow well in Italy and has been proven to grow well in Candoni so no doubt, olives too. :)
