yup, someone mentioned here na may movement sa 2nd floor of BOC..kag resto..madugangan na naman ang atun line up sa dalan lacson..hehehhe..

Woooh...so this explains the late night flights of Cebu Pacific...may 6th flight sila gali except on mondays...so that means kun mag sige damu ang aircraft sang Cebu Pacific gaka dugangan aton flights?...wow...tani may seasonal or "moving" flight schedules ta on summer, October and Christmas Season (just like what Zest is doing at Kalibo).At least madugang flights ang PAL, Cebu Pacific, AirPhil and Zest of one flight on a 2-3 x a week frequency to accommodate the influx of tourists and balikbayans. Then maybe seasonal charters by Zest Air Incheon-Bacolod once again anytime on a December-February (winter).

I hope Airphil Express would beef up their aircraft para indi na mag wax and wane ang ila Cebu-Bacolod-Cebu nga flights. kagutok abi kag agaway seats since they reduced flights :ohno:

sa cebu, it's mactan resorts and sa bacolod, ang gina-mean is sipalay, cauayan, san carlos, escalante, cadiz resorts and beaches.

i was surprised gani during my last flight from manila nga damu-damu sila nga dutch nationals ang upod ko sa plane. knowing them, as i have stayed in the netherlands for 2 moths before, they are very friendly people. sila guid ga-start sg conversation sa plane. small world, kilala ya mga counterpart engineers ko sa amsterdam.

i was amazed to know nga they are staying in sipaway island for 3 weeks kay nanami-an sila kuno sg lugar. it's his 4th time to visit san carlos city and he invited 8 of his friends and his 8 friends nag-upod pa guid sg 6 family members.

ginbaligya ko dayon sa ila ang sipalay kag cauayan. wala sila kabalo nga damu pa guid resorts gale sa southern negros. ginkuha nila number ko, makabalik sila kuno sa winter, they will just contact me.

damu na guid ta visitors nga european. and they have only good words to say about negros esp the negrenses. very hospitable guid kuno kag naga-smile pirme. :)

^^ I opted ang tunga2 lang kay flexy gid kung bastante pa ang budget pwede pa ka hop sa pihak like Calea for a dessert or Starbucks for a coffee pero kung wala na gid hapit na Lang sa Merci for a piaya :lol: :lol: :lol: :cheers:

I think diving still dominates the foreign tourist that we have and I think the diving agencies that we have here in Negros are also connected to those who operating around the country.Thats why most tourist that we have are Swiss or German nationals.Some of them actually are just being ferried from Dumaguete resorts as well.

yes, from the very start thats what i have always beenvpointing out.i understand that discussions in this forum is more on urbanization but let us always remember that these developments would be nothing if we do not have natural resources left.i dont have to discuss the details.kabalo na kita sina tanan.ugaling lg most of the time we, as society ignore it.

The airstrips are being maintained by respective LGU's since they are not listed or maintained by the CAAP. Actually, ang El Nido and Taytay Airports are not under CAAP, one is a private airport, the other is an LGU Airport. Gahulat lang sila landingan ka airplanes. :lol:

BACOLOD CITY—At least 87,700 students braved the rain at the old Bacolod airport on Sunday morning to exercise in a bid to create a new world record.
The students performed a 30-minute “Jam Step” aerobic-dance exercise on the 1.8-kilometer stretch of the old airport runway about 8:30 a.m. for the record-breaking Jam Step 2-12-12.

The simple aerobic dance was choreographed by the pep squad of the De La Salle University-Bacolod City. The students were also entertained by event host Epy Quizon, former beauty queen Daisy Reyes and actor Danilo Barrios who added star power to the event.

The number exceeded the 47,000 people at the Quirino Grandstand in 2003, which was part of the campaign of the Department of Health for a healthy and active lifestyle.

The Jam Step 2-12-12 will easily break the current record held by China at 13,000 people, said Bacolod Representative Anthony Golez, one of the organizers of the event.

Ang wish ko ya subong for bacolod...Tne may PPP (public-private partnership) pra ma-rehabilitate/marenovate ang tatlo ta ka state-owned "supermarkets" which is the Libertad Market, Bacolod Central Market and Burgos Market....:lol: They can replace it with a more decent structure kag tne more organized! :ohno::bash:
Sila na lng ang kinanglan panami-on, all set na dayun for the bacolod boom (ga-start pa lng sbng), later on mgrabe pa gd na the moment one of the mega-projects are finished, or in progress na ang ayala, CDIP...:banana:

Originally, taga-Bacolod man ko but my family and I have since migrated to Manila when I was in high school.

Dugay na ko wala gid di kakadto so I'm not updated with the recent developments in the city.

We're looking for a nice budget pension inn/hotel for our travel. Backpackers kami so we're not really into the fancy stuff in hotel accommodation since we have a packed itinerary. Can anyone help us look for a place? Budget is around Php500/room. Individual ni sya gali guys ha. Can't share the room since my travel mate is a girl, hehe. :)

Anywhere in Bacolod City lang. Ok lang gid if wala aircon. Basta we have a place to rest/keep our baggage/take a bath. :)

^^ A long lost friend of mine who just visited Bacolod after 28 years accidentally stayed there also, i booked him on certain place but while driving him along with our friends after a dinner at Chicken Deli everyone felt so tire and sleepy, he wanted to stay just nearby as he was impressed around Lacson, ayon at nasiplatan ang Saltimboca, he check the place and room, walang ng reklamo at nagustuhan nya gilayon. pag gwa mo sa compound kag pag tamwa sa Lacson st., buhay na buhay ang palibot kag accessible pa sa tanan. here's a pics sulod area right after the check in area nga katahum gulpiyada nagiging close to nature ang palibot.

After several days of comparing both threads -- now I truly see kung sa diin gid nga grupo ang may proper "Forum Decorum" -- kag kung sino ang consistent mag tirada -- no comment nalang :D -- good job of maintaining this Bacolod :)

:):):) I admit before (as in moths or a year ago) daw almost the same ang setting. There are times nga both parties are aggressive in throwing rocks at each other. But now, we have learned our lessons. Very soon, they'll get tired migs. And hopefully, it would be the start of peace between the two threads. Yan na guid man ka San Miguel ang major stocks pero he was kept as the Chairman pero merely symbolic na lang, just like Meralco nga ang Chairman giyapon Lopez pero non-executive na siya nga chairman and the power lies in MVP, ang President and CEO. :)

Thanks mig. We hope all of those projects will push through and will be completed. Though, we know and we do not expect all of them to be finished very soon. Some of them takes time & probably we'll see the results within 5-10 years though we'll see some changes and improvements in the coming years...approx. 2-3 years from now, Bacolod will never be the same...and we hope that within 10 years, those projects written under the "long-term plans" will start or will be realized...:cheers: There's always a right time for everything...Thanks for the support and Godspeed! :cheers:

its the Silay to Bacolod thru Bata migs...not Granada. the Airport Access Road diverges from the Carlos Hilado Highway (Circumferential) just after La Herencia Negrense thru hacienda roads ofTalisay and out to J.Pitong Ledesma-McKinley Road in Silay, just before reaching the airport. :)

Bacolod to Silay thru Granada is an impossibility pa since the existing road from Granada runs from the back of the Bacolod Boy's Home and out to Concepcion in Talisay. from that point wala na access toad derecho Silay kay kabukiran na ina da dayon :lol:

DOT identifies P100-B flagship projects in WV
THE Department of Tourism regional office based in Iloilo City has identified six major flagship projects for a five-year period in Western Visayas that covers some P100 billion in government and private sector tourism investments.
The Iloilo River Cruise in Iloilo City will have an initial budget of P5.4 million that will cover product development. Investment promotion, cruise boat prototype, tour packaging, launching, operationalization and market to be led by DOT, private sector and TIEZA.

The Iloilo International Convention Hotel with 500 rooms and 5,000 convention hall capacity has a feasibility study costing P500,000 in 2013 by DOT.

The WV International Sports Fishing competition is proposed in the second quarter of 2013 with a budget cost of P2 million to be led by DOT, TPB, LGU and the private sector.

The Visayas Seafari (Regatta Circuit) is proposed in the second quarter of 2013 with a budget cost of P5 million to be implemented by the DOT offices in Region 6, 7 and 8; LGUs in the whole Visayas and the private sector.

The Boracay Island Tourism Services Upgrade will have a budget of P2 million per year in 2012-2016.

^^ang sa Airport dugay pa ina, before sang SM kag Ayala ang Rob naga waswas na ina invest sa Bacolod wala labot sang mall nila, ara ang cybergate, Rob supermarket TIP and soon sa first cybercenter. they have even build a stand alone Go hotel not part of the expansion kay tugod lapad ang ila property sa likod so they decided to make it sprawling which is more better then the rendering that I saw just recently.
