theres 4d cinema at crown regency cebu...the owner of Metro Inn will open man kuno one in RPB :) and they said they are being invited to invest in soon to be built Amusement Park in Negros :)

^^I like 4d cinema, expensive but worth the experience, I hope there would be a Crowne Regency in Bacolod were they offer amusement rides on top of the hotel.

^^these hotels are only the front act may palaabuton pagid kita nga major! major! right now, in order to compete with the increase number of hotel in Bacolod, a hotel should have something unique just like in Cebu, hotels are setting up attractions to lure in local and foreign visitors, that's why Cebu is very successful, hope Negros Occ could replicate those attractions. the amusement park in Talisay, ANLM, ACCC,SM will definitely help the cause.

888 to lease old provincial jail lot

NEGROS Occidental Governor Alfredo Marañon Jr. confirmed that the owners of 888 China Town Square won the bidding to lease the vacant lot which formerly housed the old provincial jail.

The old provincial jail is right across 888's present compound which the owners leased during the administration of the late Governor Joseph Marañon.

The governor said the owners of 888 are planning to build an overpass to connect the existing mall to its extension at the old provincial jail lot.

Marañon also disclosed plans to preserve the walls of the old provincial jail because of its historical significance. (TDE)

Guv expects COA's approval of Capitol-Ayala deal

NEGROS Occidental Governor Alfredo Marañon Jr. said he is expecting the final approval of the Commission on Audit (COA) central office of the land deal between the Provincial Government and Ayala Land Inc. (ALI) this coming May 22.

Marañon bared that ALI has already paid all the documentary stamps at the Register of Deeds.

personally i prefer indi sementado nga dalan pakadto sa tourist spots naton.indi lg tani lubak lubak kag batuhon ok na.that way ma preserve ang natural beauty sg place.i think thats what most tourists are looking for.like boracay.mas nanamian ako sg indi pa concrete ang dalan.plus mas maabsorb sg duta ang tubig pag nag ulan.personal opinion ko lg ni ton ah :)

With the imminent approval of its contracts by the Commission on Audit (COA), Ayala Land has started the paper works for its more than P6-billion development project in Negros Occidental. Governor Alfredo Marañon Jr. disclosed yesterday that Ayala Land has paid documentary stamps and other fees, and is processing building permits and other requirements related to the Capitol Civic Center project that will be constructed on the 7.7-hectare prime property of the Negros Occidental provincial government in Bacolod City.
Marañon revealed that he expects COA to approve the contracts for the sale and lease of the property on May 22.

Within this year, Ayala will start the construction of the billion-peso project that will change the landscape of Bacolod, the governor said.

He said he sees no more hindrance to the approval of the contracts as all the requirements set forth by COA were already complied with by the Provincial Capitol.

"COA will have no more questions about the contracts, last time there were three things they asked us to comply with, and we already submitted them," he said.

"This project is already a `go,’ it was already signed by Ayala," he said.

Marañon said the project will need thousands of workers and this will give jobs to unemployed laborers in the province.

It can be recalled that the contracts between the Negros Occidental provincial government and Ayala Land on the purchase and lease of the 7.7-hectare prime property have been pending in COA for more than nine months already.

The Provincial Capitol has submitted the contracts to COA for approval in July 2011.

It was only last month that COA informed the Provincial Capitol that the contracts were deficient because they were not signed.

The contracts were signed by Marañon, Ayala Land president Antonino Aquino and Ayala Land senior vice president Jose Emmanuel Jalandoni last April 26, and submitted to COA April 30.

The Sangguniang Panlalawigan had also ratified the contract. It previously ratified the unsigned contracts in July last year.

Based on the sale and lease contracts, Ayala Land will buy from the Negros Occidental provincial government 3.6587 hectares of land worth P750,033,500 subject to an initial payment of 50 percent, with the balance to be paid on a quarterly basis over a one-year period, the deed of sale states.

To be leased is 4.0481 hectares at P2,955,133 a month, with rent increasing at 10 percent every five years.

Ayala will deposit P35,461,356 covering one year rent, the contracts stated.

The P6-billion Capitol Civic Center is an integrated mixed-use civic and commercial district, with retail, office, residential and hotel components, and is envisioned to be the growth center of Negros Occidental.*(DBDangcalan)

punta bulata is 4 hours away from Bacolod. It is located in cauayan Negros occ. you can do kayaking and island hopping (turtle island and danjugan etc..)

This trip is probably one of my favorites! I enjoyed every single second and every single thing I experienced in Negros Occidental --- from the gastronomic treats in Bacolod, to a welcome history lesson in Talisay and Silay, to a much greater appreciation of nature in Cauayan. Negros Occidental is a gem.

Ang A factor ta ya, is that we are always underestimated without proof. If ever they have the so called proof, those who have the bitterness are the ones who furnished it with all sugar coats.

Hambalan pa kita na ang proof of the pudding is in the eating. Well, i would only believe that you ate the pudding, if I saw you eating one or I can smell from your mouth the pudding you ate. Which I doubt that I would either see or smell, pudding is so Cheap.

Wala gid bala naminsar sang ginatawag na Tangible Proof. As in Makita gid. As in maka murarat gid. indi nga its been more than a year na since groundbreaking, wala pa ni isa ka floor, tapos hambalan nga may market? ^^ I wanna keep mum to keep the peace, but I'm still really wondering how people define the word "Capital" these days. Seriously, I think that's a valid question...regardless of who claims that monicker.

But then again, unofficial titles mean nothing when the whole country regards Bacolod as the preferred venue for INTERNATIONAL football events, the home of the first Filipino football pro who played in Europe and the team to beat in current football competitions anyway. ;)

Oh, well, anyone can take the unofficial title, "Capital". We'll just settle with the simple facts.

The 23rd national convention, on the theme “Safer Communities Through Effective Comprehensive Development and Land Use Plans Integrating Disaster Risk Reduction and Climate Change Adaptation”, aims to address the increasing global need resulting from climate change, and highlight the challenges of the integration of DRR and CCA in the plans and the strategies of LGUs to address these challenges.

About 600 provincial, city and town planners are expected to attend and opening ceremony will be at 9 a.m. tomorrow at L’Fisher Hotel with Gov. Alfredo Marañon Jr. as the keynote speaker, while Bacolod City Mayor Evelio Leonardia will give the welcome address, the press release said.

Migs, for me, going to Ayala is not being about pasosyal... its more of quality rather than quantity. Bisan isa lang ka La Coste nga shirt ang mabakal mo for 2500 but if it will serve its purpose for a longer time as well as quality will not be compromised, I'd go for it. ^^ In short migs, once you have an Ayala, it serves like the basis of other "Big-Time" developers on how well can the market cope with the demands. As for us here in Negros, having the Premiere, Alveo, Avida, Amaia, Technohub and Retail, we can surely say that we sustained the demands. We are one of the few places that has all the Ayala Components. Soon it will not only be in Talisay, but in Bacolod as well. Remember, ACCC will also have a Residential, Technohub, Retail and Convention components. We are so blessed to have the A Factor in the City and Province!

Ako man, let me clarify what I said. Indi na siya ya sa pasosyal sosyal. Notwithstanding that, an Ayala property is tantamount to quality. When I enumerated, Boni High Street, AC Cebu, Trinoma, I looked at the overall factor.

ALI developments are well known for fusing modern and natural aesthetics. Ako ya personally, namian ko sang pocket garden concepts in ALI properties esp. ang ara sa AC Cebu rather than boxy buildings nga signature na sang SM. Of course, akon man lang na ya opinion. That's why happy ko ya nga ALI ang nakakwa sang property dira. At least, we are assured nga ma retain ang natural scenic attraction sang Capitol area while the high rises are being built there.

But since the two behemoths are already at Negros: we have the best of both worlds.

but I guess, ACCC is not the final name yet. I know it will eventually become the name of the Convention Center that Ayala is putting up at the Back of the Capitol Building. But the whole Ayala Development within the Capitol Property especially the Mall Component, is yet to be named. :)

Economic zone briefing set tomorrow

The Department of Trade and Industry, in coordination with the Philippine Economic Zone Authority, will conduct a briefing on the establishment of economic zones at the Planta Hotel in Bacolod City, from 8:30 a.m. to noon tomorrow.

Ecozone Development department manager of PEZA, Emmanuel Cortero, will be the resource speaker for the activity, a press release from DTI said.

Cortero will discuss the procedures and requirements for the establishment of economic zones, and issues regarding taxation imposed by the national government and local government units.

Interested real estate developers and ecozone locators are invited to attend, the press release said.
