both lobbies of chalet and Lfisher main... theyre both grand and very classy

i would say Aboy's and Imay's got their own strengths but if i were to choose among the 3... i would choose Aboy's still....that is for the ambiance... but if i want to eat good food away from the noisy streets of Bacolod, i would choose KSL. Imay's is too crowded at times and the service is quite slow. but the food is equally good compared to the other 2

yup, infairness man da iban nga hotels sa Bacolod, they look totyal tanan...hoping na ang Bascon hotel, Seabreeze hotel, etc..will renovate man and follow the trend now in our city..RENOVATE AND EXPAND..ehehhehe

one thing gali nga I dont like sa Imays..kadugay sang serving nila..thats why before magkadto didto dapat paluto na..hehehehe..though the service is quite good..

^^the condo madness which is happening in bacolod right now, reaches the shore of san carlos...@sugardad, san carlos already has an eco-zone which is the site of the SCBI. this might be a factor why condos is a need in san carlos because a lot of foreigners mostly british and germans frequently go to san carlos to check on the operation of the ethanol plant.:)

Bacoleño Games and Amusement Board (GAB) Chairman Juan Ramon "Monju" Guanzon was appointed as Secretary of the World Boxing Council unanimously.

WBC president Don Jose Sulaiman personally appointed Guanzon to the top position in the world’s premier professional boxing organization.

Sulaiman said Guanzon had been appointed unanimously as a voting member of the WBC Board of Governors as well as International Secretary of the WBC.

Sulaiman said, he is looking forward to meeting the GAB chairman at the next convention of the WBC in the picturesque tourist city of Cancun, Mexico.

Guanzon accepted the appointment with great pride and gratitude in behalf of the Filipino people and at the same time promise to serve the WBC under Sulaiman’s invaluable leadership to the best of his ability.

Wait lang sa expansion ah because since early this year, Panaad Stadium Expansion and Renovation is in the pipeline na ah, and as we have said its between THE CAPITOL and SMART-MVP...wala pa na da si Monico, so basi ma intra naman na di sya kag mag barakang...kunsabagay ang importante may mehura. But the idea is with the capitol ah and not with him.

I have been to Football's hotspots in the south. I spent a few days last December in Barotac Nuevo, Iloilo attending Ian Araneta's youth tournament. I saw hordes of kids, boys and girls, many of them barefoot, playing the Beautiful Game with unbridled passion while hundreds of townsfolk looked on. Many of the kids also hailed from neighboring towns like Santa Barbara and Calinog.

Two months later I was at the Dumaguete Ball Field. My good friend, Pere Sienes, coach of the Negros Oriental U23 squad, was mentoring his team in the Siliman Cup. It was a night game and the light was abysmal, but the kids played hard.

Six hours west is Bacolod, Negros Occidental, which won the U23 title last year. Bacolod is a known football mecca with a well-organized league. A satellite-image scan of the city reveals several pitches. In 2005 and 2006 I traveled there to watch the SEA Games squad and the full Azkals team play. Panaad stadium was packed, just like it was last February against Mongolia.

And a few hours' drive back east is San Carlos City, where UP's precocious striker Jinggoy Valmayor comes from, as do Green Archers Arnie Pasinabo and Tating Pasilan.

A source said the target date is sometime on October 15,2012 and the mall is currently doubling its time to train their staff.

Initially stores that will locate would include Starbucks, Marks and Spencer, Bread Talk, Penshoppe and Bench. But the source said locals will expect more branded store to come in.

To make shopping experience even better, Ayala, is also looking at the possibility of extending the routes of Bacolod jeepneys up to the mall. But this may take sometime since it involves arrangement between the two cities, Bacolod and host city- Talisay.

anyway, guys, i received info from a friend that aside sa myvan, may ara pa guid isa ka real estate developer nga mapatindog sang tall building dira sa tubang sang lagoon. specifically dira sa depot building sa tupad guid sang KFC lacson (ang may korean school bala). pati kuno ang property sa sulod asta dira sa retreat house sa pinaka sulod dalasa kuno sa development. i hope may ara progress sa sini nga info soon. mas manami na guid nada dayun sa Lacson-Lagoon Area. and in fairness, lapad guid na da tuod ang property asta sa retreat house. :)

Pero I guess with the economics man siguro of running a university, basi may gina una pa sila nga priorities before the rubberized oval. Besides, USLS has seen a construction boom in the past few years: ang English Cafe (bag o lang na post ang pic), new buildings, etc.

Daw nabatian ko nga ang Unigames this year sa La Salle na naman i-hold (for the nth time :lol: ) so basi madayon na gid this year ang rubberized oval da.

Marañon said that ALI has already paid the documentary taxes for the said contract and they have started the initial works for the P6-billion development plan that ALI is going to pour at the Capitol property.

After trade hiatus, Victorias Milling stocks fly

Shares of Victorias Milling Corp. soared by 931 percent on Monday after the Philippine Stock Exchange lifted a 15-year trading suspension on the local sugar giant.

VMC’s share price closed at P2.99 apiece from P0.29 when it was last traded on October 8, 1997, giving the sugar firm a market capitalization of P587.14 million.

VMC now seeks to renegotiate the terms of its rehabilitation plan with creditor banks, aiming to slash P5.86 billion in remaining debt stock faster than originally envisioned given the sharp decline in interest rates over the years.

The proposed changes to the terms with creditors are expected to strengthen the company’s balance sheet and make it more globally competitive by 2015 when sugar tariffs across the Association of Southeast Asian Nations drop to within a range of zero to 5 percent, from the current 28 percent, VMC officials said.

ang ma suggest ko na solution mig would be to allow some bacolod puvs to travel up to ayala and back and at the same time allow talisay puvs to travel up to bacolod shopping area and back, win win solution ah.

ang ma suggest ko na solution mig would be to allow some bacolod puvs to travel up to ayala and back and at the same time allow talisay puvs to travel up to bacolod shopping area and back, win win solution ah.

More or less, those are the booming cities inclduing those nga special mention, in NO PARTICULAR ORDER for me. Wala pa ta balita da pompz....gamulumatyag lang. Maybe if ang talipapa sang Mandalagan masaylo na didto sa tupad ni Tian Sang Compound and Ongsingco's Catering, mahawan na ina dira and mabal-an ta na kun ano ang plano da. Soon ah masaylo na to ang talipapa stalls

According to our sources from Ayala Mall, the Ayal Lifestyle Center in Talisay is expected to open in time for this year’s MassKara Festival from Bacolod.

A source said the target date is sometime on October 15,2012 and the mall is currently doubling its time to train their staff.

Initially stores that will locate would include Starbucks, Marks and Spencer, Bread Talk, Penshoppe and Bench. But the source said locals will expect more branded store to come in.

To make shopping experience even better, Ayala, is also looking at the possibility of extending the routes of Bacolod jeepneys up to the mall. But this may take sometime since it involves arrangement between the two cities, Bacolod and host city- Talisay.

Terra Plaza would be a big foodcourt, minimum rental is 600 pesos per day ....the lots from the former hotel alhambra up to the wall of the lcc coop building will be vacated by the present occupants (Tikboy's etc) and the new owner would be the buyer of alhambra, basi amo ni ang ila expansion with a convention center, ugaling may creek na da separating the lot from alhambra, maybe they would also build on top of the creek, abangan ah....good morning sa tanan.:)

^^ Yup, and i think they're working on it. Including the proposed Coliseum that's being surrounded by a cottages a smaller version of i.e. Pana-ad like (daw) so that every time they're going to celebrate/commemorate their annual fiesta/chartered day they're going to have a venue that is, permanent na and can accommodate and showcase each and every barangay's product and the likes.:)

Sports: WV Cash Incentives Ready for Approval Wednesday

The Western Visayas medalist in the last 2012 Palarong Pambansa held in Lingayen, Pangasinan will likely receive their cash incentives days after approval by the Negros Occidental Sangguniang Panlalawigan on Wednesday.

This was disclosed by Angel "Nonong" Verdeflor, Executive Assistant lV to the Governor and at the same time the Provincial Sports Coordinator.

Verdeflor said, Department of Education Regional Director,Mildred Garay signed the computed cash incentives reaching to over one million pesos and will be submitted to the Sangguninag Panlalawigan . Committee on Finance headed by Board member Salvador G. Escalante, Jr., for approval. Days after approval of the computed cash incentives, the office of the governor will set a schedule for the medalists as a "tribute" for them and subsequently award the cash incentives.

Negros Occidental Governor Alfredo G. Maraqon announced in an interview in Lingayen that individual medalists will get P10, 000 for the gold; P5, 000 for silver and P3, 000 for bronze medals.

In the team event, the champion will receive P50, 000; 1st runner -up withP30, 000 and 2nd runner-up with P10, 000.

Earlier, he congratulated all the winners, claiming those who are entitled to the cash incentives are members of the Western Visayas contingent including those from other provinces, Aklan, Capiz, Antique, Guimaras, Iloilo and Negros Occidental that comprise Western Visayas.The athletes from other provinces will be informed ouright on the schedule so they can come for the "Tribute" initiated by the provincial government of Negros Occidental.

Marañon pushes for the inclusion of the sports minded Western Visayas that failed to compete this yea, like gymnastics and swimming and will focus more on boxing where Filipino had a chance to become world champions.

He added that chances of hosting the 2013 Palarong Pambansa Marañon said, is big but the awarding of Palarong Pambansa bidding may be known either on September or October.

Western Visayas, a perennial runner-up behind NCR, collected 24 gold,, 19 silver, and 14 bronze medals in athletics to emerge champion in elementary girl’s athletics. They won the titles in elementary and secondary girls softball, secondary girls basketball, elementary boy’s and girl’s arnis, while it took silver medals in elementary and secondary girls’ volleyball and bronze medals in elementary and secondary boys’ basketball. Western Visayas failed to excel in swimming and failed to compete in gymnastics which is the source of many medals which can generate points.

It collected a total of 452 points; 221.50 in elementary and 230.50 in secondary to place second behind National Capital Region in the overall championship based on the point system.

NCR amassed a total 733 points banking on both elementary and secondary divisions with complete participation on all seventeen sports disciplines. They got 318 points in elementary division, while garnering 415 points in the secondary division. NCR dominated the elementary boys athletics, elementary boys chess, elementary boys’ and girl’s swimming, elementary girls tennis, elementary boys volleyball, secondary girl’s archery, secondary girl’s athletics, secondary boys basketball, secondary boy’s chess, secondary boy’s football, secondary boys’ and girls’ volleyball, all divisions in swimming and all divisions in gymnastics.*

Medyo paborable sa Ayala subong ang Metro Gaisano since ang anchor nila gani sa Marquee Mall is also Metro Gaisano and also with their CDO mall. Depende na lang sa arrangement since everything can change since kadasig sang development subong. :)

^^I agree with this migs, I hope the Kabankalan officials will make changes and replace trikes with jeepneys on the main roads, it doesn't look and feel right if a city becoming HUC will still have trikes roaming the streets of Kabankalan.
