Actually they are. I was there today.

cool, a couple of weeks ago there were huge concrete blocks and much site traffic :dunno:

Those are still there, but not all the roads are closed, the site has to be accessible anyway. Actually is just a matter of trying: If a concrete block blocks your way, just turn back and take the next exit or try the next road. I did the same today, but no interesting thing to photograph overthere.

This is gonna be one of the better lookin architectures of Dubai Marina.. reminds me of the new Hyatt. Just goes to show u dont need excessive height to make the tower look good.

Water Supply :: The pipes for water supply are in progress in 2nd & 3rd & 4th & 5th floors, water heaters fixing in progress in 3rd floor and fire fating pipes also are in progress in same floors
Electrical works : The wiring in all floors is in progress, fixing boxes for sockets started in 2nd and 3rd and 4th and 5th floors
A/C ducting : the fixing of A/C ducting has been started in 2nd & 3rd floors
External elevations : the fixing of precast panels for External elevations has been started in all elevations.
Concrete : 19 th floor slab has been concreted and 20th floor columns has been concreted.

I think NOT. :) In most towers there is an extra line in the small print that says you are not allowed to attach ANYTHING to the outside of the building... I think that is good. Otherwise it would not be so posh, would it?

Why do we bother posting picture updates of this tower? Nobody is excited about it. :) I like the round shaped pool though. And all the stone cladding gives it a 'will last longer than anyone wants' look. Overall, the renders looked a lot better on this one!

The stylish cut on the top is part .... is it part of the design or is it that they ran out of cement concrete material to build the balcony walls!! The building gives a traditional and mediviael look!

Its the first thing Imre sets his sight on every morning from his balcony....

just a question Imre: is the carlton marina like the boddington tower in jlt - is that the reason handover is awaited?

no idea what is the problem, I remember there was a board ,original handover date was Dec 2005:)

I was inside once the quality was really bad , maybe they are changing everything now?

is this similar to the boddington towers i.e. where the tower acts like a hotel, but in fact is purchasable from the developer and / or their brokers / RE agents etc.

Bhomes advertising the Dreams Tower in Dubai Marina , they have 150 units for rent, 1 b/r 58.000 dhs/year, 2 b/r 95.000 dhs/year, 12 cheques, fully furnished.

I think , we should change back the name to Dreams Tower, there is nothing about the Carlton:)

anyway good news, Almaya Supermarket opened in this tower.

Another hotel with problems trying to open for business and abandoning mid preparation.

and 2 bedrooms around 70,000 aed

Hi A-modjo,

I own a 1BR apartment in this building facing Marina side at 10+ floor. There is a tenant occupying it and we have to renew the rental contract now.

Last year I had asked the forum what rent to expect and AED 48,000 was the reply. I rented it out with a deep discount for AED 38,000 one cheque for need of a fast rental.

Now the tenant asks to have four cheques which I said would be OK for AED 50,000. He replied that it was too much. He implied that Carlton Real Estate and Al Fardan Real Estate have units in the building renting close to AED 40,000 for four cheques.

He could be wrong of course. I have come to think so especially after seeing the rent rates you posted a month ago. I will appreciate it greatly if you can explain where you got the numbers, i.e like friends living there etc.. That may help me greatly to get true rent for my apartment.

I dont know much about internal situation in your tower but 38K-40K for 1 bed with surrounding facility is too cheap. I am getting at least 25% more than that for my one of the studio in marina.

This is a very silent thread. But hopefully somebody will provide some info on below issue.

The developer has claimed from owners an extra payment for unit size coming out to be larger than stated in the sales contract. I wonder how many of the owners agreed to pay and how many have rejected or challenged the claim..
