If anyone knows or has the time could they explain to me the pro's and con's of the bat file that puts your freeways underground.

Also I cant seem to find the file on Simtropolis. If anyone could direct me there that would be really apprciated.

Ok, the "file" you are talking about is the hole digger, I presume. That tool comes in handy, and explaining it in depth can be a tad difficult, as it has its quirks. I think it was a PEG lot, but as you know, PEG deleted all of his stuff for some reason. It isnt available anymore.

Well, you can still do sunken freeways. There are some tutorials, I think

OR.....

Plan ahead raise the ground on where you want the tunnel to be.
Lower the terrain in the middle, and plot streets around the mouths of the tunnel to lower the rest. It is fiddly but better than bat files which some times don't work.

Thanyou all very much for your help.

Ive sunken a few freeways in my city with the exits and interchanges lowered in intervals.Great stuff.

Ive also done the same with some of my rail systems with few lines cutting right under the downtown area with one station sunken at a lower level to allow commuters to access my massive suburban rail system from the commercial district

Cheers.
