Valapraiso, the main port of Chile, has been nominated as Humanity Patrimony by UNESCO, last year. It is famous for it 19 and beggining of 20 century houses that are on hills, there are also elevators on hills. Many British and German inmigrants arrived here.

Great pictures! I especially like those multi colored houses so typical in the far southern regions of South America. From those pictures I also got the feeling that the city is very cold!

Well, I wouldn't say that Valparaiso is a cold city, it's got mediterranean weather, the average is 20 degrees...but off course this is my personal opinion (I'm from Patagonia) so 20 degrees for me is hot...:)

PD: Not, it doesn't snow there...
