Neverending sadness...
Prague always reminds me of destroyed Wroclaw/Warsaw and lost Vilnius/Lviv...
Oh how sad it is to be unable to be joyful of prague, the last bastion of beauty in Europe...

Too late my east friend ;) Krakow in summer already looks like Prague - too crowded...

BTW: Pragueeee is amazing!! I've been there only once some years ago but I hope to visit it again in the near future ;)

Really? SO MANY? That's a shame.
I'm sure it just detracts from it's atmosphere, with all those fat American tourists. :(

Krakow is not more beatiful than Prague (outside the old city).
And yes Lviv was lost, it's roots were way more polish than ukrainian at that time, like Wroclaw's were more german than polish. And Lviv wasnt crushed by the war. So not only lost a beatiful city, but also got a second city ripped of its beauty.

prague is certainly one of my preferred european holiday destinations, it is just a shame that so many people share my love for this city and proceed to swamp is every time i'm there. i'm so relieved it didn't suffer much permanent damage following the floods there.

i can remember the first time i stayed in the city and a group of friends and i decided to experience some of the authentic czech culture by basking in the ambience at the old city's central square....there was a bandstand and the musicians were playing (in an initially hard to discern manner) 'west virginia'.

that clock also has a rather macabre history. apparently the patron was so pleased with the quality of the workmanship, he had the eyes of the clocksmith removed so that he couldn't repeat his achievement for someone else. and i'm sure anyone who's ever been to prague knows this story :)

excellent pictures.
